I wanted advice on how to make a system in my map I’m working on where if a player were to leave during the game that particular player’s units would be given to a “Reserve Player”. This player would have to wait for that particular occasion and would have his own force in the lobby. Clokr gave some good advice on a trigger system for my map and it is listed below in the link. So the question is how to incorporate a “Reserve Player” into my map using Clokr’s trigger system?

I'm no pro on that since i have never done it b4... but i know a map that is unproteted and it has that source of trigger. Download any of these... I think they're all the same...

Yes that's exactly what you do. Player 12 is neutral. Ever notice when you put your mouse over a unit and it turns yellow? That means those units are owned by player 12 which is neither a player or a computer. When a human player leaves a game all their units become "neutral" to deactivate them without removing them. So to give those units to another player you just use a simple give units changing the 'owned by' to player 12.

On another note: Make sure you have no other units owned by player 12 on the map at any point. If you know there may be units that you don't want your Reserve player to have, then set up locations where the players units would be, and use "Give units at location" instead. For example, you may not want your reserve player to obtain other players "Upgrade buildings" or something of that sort. You can also use "Remove units owned by player 12 at location" to get rid of excess units or buildings so that your map looks nice and neat even after players leave.

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort

Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
