Yeah but I was surprised to see some that looked like something I would make, using the crashed ship doodad. I dunno who made the one I am thinking of, but it blended very nicely.

edit: it's called custom doodad 65

I don't see any...where exactly?

:payne:

The only level with a bit of effort set in the terrain.
At the bottom left, there is the level-choose area. To the right of it, there are 5 little islands. Each of them contain a custom doodad. Even more to the right, there are 3 big islands. Some of these contain extended terrain as well ;)

I'm sure this is nothing 'new,' but I didn't see it here before. How are these?

Ok I must have an outdated version then because I'm not seeing any islands to the right of the level chooser. Only 2 big islands on opposite corners of the map.

edit: thanks

DavidJCobb, your Installation Doodads has been in the HoF for quite a while, I made almost the exact same thing when working on Fort Ethanios's terrain, and posted it here. If you search through there you might find a few new ones you can add to your brush if you'd like.

If you look into the Terrain HoF, you'll see some backward ramps I've made in Twilight. Tell me if you like them ;o

Check here:

I think I have ramps facing all 4 directions, and ofc they can be extended as you want.

Ever wanted to make mini-cliffs like this?
Screenies

Well now you can! I put together a pallete that I use whenever I make terrain in jungle. Here is what the brush looks like:

Here is the brush file:

Walkable-unbuildable terrain for the Ice World tileset. Unfortunately, I could only find such subtiles for Snow, Dirt, and High Dirt. Other buildable terrains lacked 100%-walkable doodad tiles I could use. (Well, High Snow had three such tiles (two from the tops of ramps), but none of them could be blended into a subtile. The same tile repeating over and over would be rather obvious...)

Well, as long as you lay out the tiles in this kind of pattern:

O = buildable
X = unbuildable

OXOX
XOXO
OXOX
XOXO

or

XOXO
OOOO
XOXO
OOOO

or

XOO
OXO
XOO
OXO

or

XOOOX
OOXOO
XOOOX
OOXOO

then you can't build anything there.

@Aristo: True, but I'm a perfectionist. ;) I could assemble another brush of 2x2 imperfect subtiles. (2x1 with imperfections wouldn't work, as if they're arranged wrong, they can leave 2x2 buildable spaces.) Perhaps if the demand is high enough.

Alright I'm going to attempt to make a brush. I want to get your guys' attention, which do you prefer?
Top 2 (left to right) one uses sprites (Nuke dot and rubble) the other does not. Which should I use?
The bottom one is pure terrain so you can see it better.
