What do you guys think of it? Personally, I find it great that these guys were able to make a song about the conspiracies in the government without being arrested (the Patriot Act removes freedom of speech, fyi. Any protest against the government, even peaceful, is considered a terrorist act.), and some of the information in the video (ie, Reagan and the CIA creating and funding Osama and Al Queda) was stuff I've heard before.

I want everyone to hear this. Is there any way to get this song on the radio or have it played in public (note: If your method of getting this song spread is illegal, please tell me so XD)?

I want EVERYONE to see these. The stuff going on today in America (and the world) is appalling.

Go on youtube and search for blame it on halo 3. Now THAT is worthy. And JF, most of the people here know that the US sux worse than krayzee. And most people don't believe in conspiracy theories. Sure, the government does bad stuff but not 9-11 stuff. Yet.

So the fact that I cared enough to provide these videos makes me an idiot? I for one care very much about the possibility that companies are poisoning our water supply and sabotaging our food for profit. Whether or not you believe these sources is up to you, but to NOT CARE?!?

So it's just a coincidence that the Reagan administration created and funded the Taliban and Al Queda. It's just a coincidence that the US government has consistently lied to it's people (need examples?). It's just a coincidence that some politicans are unbelievably stupid. I don't know if these "conspiracy theorists" have it right on the mark, but SOMETHING's going on.

There ir a time and a place to discuss this kind of stuff, but not on SEN. Maybe in Serious discussion, but then the problem is the people who frequent SD are ehther very smart and will wipe the floor with you in a debate, or so stubborn that nothing you say will have an effect.

Which is why I didn't put it in SD. I don't do "debates," as the entire concept is about fighting, arguing, and people using every method necessary to prove the other "side" wrong instead of actually discussing the situation and being honest like civilized people. The thing about debates is, both sides know that the other will never change, yet they keep arguing anyway.

Can anyone tell me where the whole tin-foil hat thing came from? I've never heard of a conspiracy theorist talk about wearing tin-foil hats, only the people who want to make them look crazy.

I'm not going to get into all this "conspiracy theorists are wrong and utterly stupid" again but if you have the time to "research" all this stuff how about you stop dwelling on such petty past and insignificant issues and focus on things that really matter? There are much more pressing and relevant issues and concerns that you ought to be more worried about. Like, what to do with this shit economy we're in, Obama trying to find middle ground in this whole health care reform saga, improving foreign relations with hostile nations, renewable energy, etc etc. This is our future that's on the line.

It IS bad. Basically, it allows the government to label any act of protest as a "terrorist" act, and being a "terrorist" means that you don't get certain constitutional rights (for example, terrorists can be tortured and they can be held in prison pre-trial indefinitely, from what I've heard). I haven't seen it in action, but I'm sure it's been used to the government's advantage.
Good point on some of the conspiracy theories, but plenty still apply today (ie, how the water supply is being polluted with fluorine).
