The first and only thing came to my mind when I read this was like majia1166 patches SC code to embed a function which handles his custom action.

Most of them use 1.08 when dealing with EUDs I think, they get patches the same time we do.
For anyone who doesn't understand what the map does yet, he used EUDs to make a custom trigger action. There was no modding involved, the screenshot with ASM in it just shows the sections of memory his EUDs change.
