Play as a sheriff in pursuit of the notorious train robber Blackthorn across the Mar Sara wasteland. Assist the Dominion Military and battle the Zerg en route to catching your prey.

This was one of the first maps to combine third person shooter action with numerous Cinematics and it still holds up pretty well.

Features:

* Story driven, third person shooter, action adventure.

* W,A,S,D movement system.

* Mouse aim combat system.

* Use a rifle or a grenade launcher (left click and right click of the mouse)

* Numerous cinematics.

* Engaging boss battle.

Special thanks to:

* Qancakes for letting me use his movement and combat system. Check out his kickass map Perdition at http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/perdition/

* SCMapper for figuring out how to make units "jump" in his ongoing World of Starcraft project. check it out at http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/smooth-3rd-person-movement/

I remember a major bug about the jump: after I left the zerg cut-scene, I started to hand around and (I think) after jumping while on the edge of the map, whenever I'd jump, the screen would get a weird camera angle before returning to normal angle.
Also, you might want to improve the aiming system by not auto-aiming targets: the map is way too easy. ;o

This guy pretty much has the tps aspect down, as well as a couple more cool features.

This looks very nice.

I myself am interested in dabbling in a TPS kind of gameplay creation. Would you happen to know if there is a way I could contact Qancakes for his permission at basing my work off his combat system, as you have? All credit would be given where it's due, naturally.

Qancakes is relatively active in here.
You can send him a PM and he should answer within some days. :)

Thanks! Haha, I didn't know he was a regular here, since I'm still new around these parts and all.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
