is there a way to detect it

None.

Yes. Center location on Dark Swarm owned by P12. Note that you can't tell who cast it.

Technically you could with a long string of stuff. But that takes too long and is inefficent. :P

That's most likely your problem, they're owned by Player 12, or Neutral in SCM Draft.

Dark Swarms can't be moved or created, so if that's your plan give up now :P

You COULD manipulate a Creation of a Dark Swarm by Provoking a Defiler to do so.

aw dang, lol thanks anyway. the same goes for a disruption web i suppose right?

Can you detect with any other special unit besides disruption web and swarm.
Like maybe comsat reaveler

I played an RPG where Dark Swarm was removed upon casting and in its place a random assortment of units were created ("summoning").

It was the Golden Knights RPG, if anyone was wondering. If somebody has it I'm sure they could figure out how the triggers worked and use it for Disruption Web as well, since that's a placable unit in SCMDraft.

The Disruption Web works exactly the same as Dark Swarm.
You can detect both, using ''Neutral'' or ''P12'' as the player owning the spells.
Since you can detect both, you can move a location on both.
As Falkoner said, you can't create or mvoe it, but you can remove it.
A trigger to move a location on the swarm and make an effect would look like this:

Players:
- Player that casts the swarm
Condition:
- Neutral brings at least 1 Dark Swarm at ''Anywhere''
- Switch Is cleared (If you want to have a cooldown or anything)
Action:
- Move location labeled ''Dark Swarm'' at Dark Swarm owned by Neutral at Anywhere
- Set Switch ( Switch that, in another trigger, will make the action happen )
- Remove Dark Swarm owned by Neutral at ''Dark Swarm''
- Preserve Trigger

o i knew the disruption web and swarm, but is there any other detectable unit like the comsat revealer

The Scanner Sweep unit is rather homoerotic. You can't center locations on it, and Bring won't detect it. So it's pretty much useless for an aiming system.

Also, note that Dwebs can be moved (I think), and can be created indirectly by attacking a corsair with a ground unit (that can attack air :hurr: ).

TZ Is correct.

Dungeon master, there are differences between the two. The most major being the spell effects themselves, aswell as distruption web being moveable and dark swarm unmovable.

If you preplace them in the editor and give them to neutral they work like normal.

Fix'd.

Well that's pretty obvious since giving them to neutral simply enables the spells effect.

Yes, but if you preplace them, the units don't die after a while like they do if you cast the spell normally.

Oh I am sorry, I knew about the in-game effect, but i didn't knew you could move a disruption web... by bad...

You could detect it by placing a unit under the dark swarm, and then placing an air unit over it with like... 9999 dmg. Have it wait like 500 miliseconds or so, and then Detect if the unit is still there. If it is, Dark Swarm detected. If it isn't, no dark swarm is there.

That's as far as my thinking goes for actually Detecting Dark Swarm.

Explain how, briefly (or not so briefly)?

Or you can use bring..?

Dark Swarms only have the protection if placed for Player 12, and they will never fade if preplaced.

Move works on Disruption Webs, not on Dark Swarms.

Comsat Sweeps are not effected by any conditions or actions that involve locations, they are owned by the player who cast them and can be detected with Command, and they can also be removed with the Remove Unit action.

Any more questions?
