In the Starcraft 2 gameplay demo, at the end Zeratul mentions the Xel Naga comming back.
And it has something to do with the artifacts their collecting.
So for the main Terran campaign, its gonna be a race for the artifacts.

Although this is based of patterning results, The campaigns will begin with the zerg, then the protoss, and finally, A terran victory (SC- T,Z,P------BW- P,T,Z-------SC2- Z,P,T)

Blizzard stated that the CORE of the Xel'Naga were wiped out, so that leads us to beleive that the Xel'Naga still exist. Based off what brutetal just said, I would assume that it would be the protoss searching for the artifacts. As I have already posted, the Terran campaign will consist of an RPG/Strategy Implementation. Players will assume the role of Jim Raynor, aboard Capital Ship - Hyperion. He is accompanied by his friend, another marine, and a crew. The player may select from an on-board computer which destination to go to. In this way, the campaign may have multiple endings, or just be a twist for some fun for us.

The Protoss campaign, although not released yet, I beleive will be to aiding thier creators, and helping Artanis rebuild Shakuras. If the artifacts thing is true, then Players may assume the role of Artanis, in search of the artifacts. One problem with this though is that Blizzard stated that they will try to make every campaign different, with different play styles and such...

As of the Zerg campaign, it is extremeely unclear because the Zerg race has not been completely developed yet. I would guess that the Zerg learn of these rare artifacts, and attempt to war against the Terran and Protoss for it. And because of the new units, This would implement brand new strategies!

In the end, I would guess that the Xel'Naga extinguish all life in the Korplu Sector, because they screwed it up real bad...

I agree with Vi3t about the order of the missions, Z P T. Though I think the Xel'naga are almost wiped out, but a few remain that are raising the Hybrids to do their bidding. I think the Xel'Naga might side with/control the Zerg because they believed the Zerg to be the "Perfect" creation and the protoss firstborn to be a failure, and attempt to erase the existance of their failure. I'm looking foward to see what the Xel'naga think of ther Terrans :).
:O whaa? A race that developed without us tampering with them? Will they blow up the terrans or ally them? o.O

No but really, "Protossy, Computer Voice" - The firstborn were a failure... they secluded to war... our next creation was an utter, evil sucess, with the creation.... of our... first genetically enhancable creatures... that... mutate... we created... our... goal. But with... power, came... madness, the zerg... overtook our ships and ... and... gah.... -

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Ultraviolet -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort

Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
