If anyone here has heard of Speakonia, the program that allows you to type anything and have it read it, would it be possible to make it talk in lets say, a marines, or a firebats voice, maybe the advisor? Because I am making a campaign that I will soon be posting to see if anyone thinks its worth continuing, and I would like to know so I could make it more cinematical because reading text all the time is just boring. Can anyone answer this?

No, that would require pre-recorded words/sounds. So, if it were possible to make a custom voice, you would be limited to the words/sounds the units from the game have to offer. On top of that, the pitch and what not of those cut up sounds/words would be all over the place. And on top of that, if you somehow managed, it would still sound all synthesized and awkward like microsoft sam and such. The only thing you could possibly do is edit the output wav files of the default voices with other software to get them as close to the unit voices as you can. And even that doesn't leave you anything to work with because of how retarded the voices sound.

Thanks, I'll have to live with text.
