Finding a model's actor

Hello everyone. I am having a bit of trouble finding a certain actor. I'm trying to tint leviathan's bio-stasis completely purple. I've changed the missile and the affected unit's stasis to purple, but I cannot find the actor for the "Impact" of this bio stasis effect, so that I can turn it purple. I've done lots and lots of searching, mostly brute force, but still haven't been able to find it. I can find the model that it must use in the model section, but this isn't much use to me.

What I am wondering is if there is some way to find which actor is using a model, either by looking at something in the model itself, some kind of search method, or maybe some kind of search method relating to the bio-stasis events. Thanks in advance!

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

Right click the model entry in the left panel in the data module. Then check the "Used by" list.

It shows me the "Bio Stasis" actor which is an attack actor.

To edit the model of impacts in attack actors, you need to edit the linked model for that. Since all impacts use the same model by default, you need to duplicate the actor "GenericAttackImpactModel" and edit the events of that actor to not interfere with the default one. Then set the link in the attack actor's "Combat: Impact Model" field to your new "GenericAttackImpactModel".

I'm confused by changing the events in the duplicated actor so that they do not interfere with the default one. What is interfering?

Edit: Anyways I got it to work. Thank you! I still didn't change anything in the duplicated actor besides tint color, so let me know if that will affect anything.

If I can ask one more question while I've got you here, without opening up yet another topic, how do I set proper tint color on hero minimap icons. For example, I add a "diamond" minimap icon in the UI:Minimap Icon section of the unit's actor. I can only either get it to show up as green if it's player owned, or white if it's ally or enemy owned. Is there a way to set the color of this custom minimap icon to the usual minimap colors?
