Null Terrain
Null tiles are the black terrain tiles that can be placed in editors such as Starforge and SCMDraft2. Most null tiles are buildable (Buildings can be created on them) and unwalkable (Units can't move over them), but some of them have different properties. Null tiles share basic properties (e.g.: doodad placement, ground height, etc.) as the rest of the row. But mini-tile specific properties (e.g.: vision hight, unit walkability) are not shared. Walkable Null TilesThe null tiles that are found in the tileset index to the right of the creep tiles are walkable in all tilesets except for Installation. The walkable null tiles: ![]() Ground units cannot get onto the walkable null tile by walking from normal terrain. They must be moved or created on it. Transports and the Recall spell can also put ground units on it. Ground units can walk from the null terrain onto other tiles, even if those tiles are not walkable. (Example: Units can walk from null to water) Buildable Installation TileThere are no creep tiles in the Installation tileset. The walkable null tiles that work in the other tilesets do no not work in Installation. Installation has another type of special tile. There is one type of buildable tile in installation. Buildings can be created on this tile: ![]() If a zerg building is created on this terrain, a black creep will grow. This creep does not function normally. Ground unit don't move over it easily.
