I was browsing the korean map site intothewow and I stumbled across some real cool terrain bridges. Unfortunately you can't download them unless you have a korean SS and have registered onto that site so I was wondering if anyone wanted to take a crack at replicating some of these bridges. I managed to kinda get it but its definiately not complete.

If anyone wants the work I have already done just aim/msn me or maybe we could work together.

:payne:

This very well done.
Obviously there would be some uber blocks in-game, but it's a destroyed bridge, so who cares?
I'd give it a 9.2/10
Also, they all seems easily reproducable.

Wow! I've seen some attempts at broken bridges, but they're nothing like these, these are amazing! I would definitely love to get my hands on a map of those, if someone can reproduce them.

That first one looks so good, it looks like it barely looks like it's from StarCraft.

Theres some other really cool terrain the koreans have created. If someone can find a korean netizen that wants to help us out we could get all this data available for non-korean mappers.

I replicated screenshot 1 and 2. It's actually much more blocky than it seems (it doesnt seem that way in the screen shots because they're blurry)

Here it is.

Koreans once again prove how much better they are at everything. Even though it is pretty blocky.

They're only great at melee and melee maps, while in the mean time we (Americans/Canadians/Mexicans/Europeans/Everyone else not Asian and/or in Asia) are better mappers by far when it comes to UMS maps, which by now is majority of starcraft :D
Unfortunatley I can't see all the pics, but Yoshi's recreation gave me an idea of what they're like. Wish I could see the real pictures. Btw Yoshi, those bridges are pretty nice.

Just here for the pie

I came into this topic expecting another newbie showing off a bridge that seems broken apart with rock sprites at the edges. Man, was I wrong.

I did before I ever posted my first post in this topic... Didn't work, it gave me 'Webpage not found' on each one.

Most Korean terrain is terrible and I have yet to be impressed by a Korean UMS. I'm not terribly exposed to Korean maps, however.

As for the bridges, they're pretty snazzy.

The bridges I've seen are pretty nice, thanks for posting that pic of the badlands one.

@Kaias: Most of the games on asia server are crappy mass attack game/defence rip offs from the US servers. I played on Asia for a bit, didn't understand a word they said and they yelled at me with TERRIBLE english for being in their games. ( )

Asia maps are nothing special, just remakes of what we've made pretty much. I saw nothing original when I played.
