First stage of functionality:

Final stage of functionality:

Features double-gas mains and no-gas nats. Double gas islands. One stack of 0 Minerals on the islands, eight on the ramps leading to the secondary expansions and four stacks everywhere else (including the middle).

I screwed up the balance with P3's secondary expansion's gas placement. I was only trying to follow the gas rule! The gas is placed in a contradictory position towards balance and symmetry, but it does follow the gas rule, which is what I was aiming for.

How badly did I eff it up? I'd prefer "You did this wrong, here's how you can fix it" to "you did everything incorrectly go scrap it kekeke kthxbai."

The sword and the faith

No. X+Y+XY symmetry is ALWAYS bad no matter what you do.

Scrap it.

Edit: Bad min lines, bad main formations, mains are too small, sizes are all off, too tight, tank holes, T>everything, ect.

You weren't specific enough.

Tank holes? Not that I see.
I can't do rotational symmetry, so good luck trying to get me to do anything but X+Y+XY (I see that this is my problem, not yours).
You always say my Mineral lines are bad. How the fuck would I do them? Yours are often worse than anyone else's on the board.
You mentioned mains twice.
You can solve tightness in-game via removing the Mineral fields scattered about.
I've beaten Ts on this map with Z and P before, so please elaborate when you say 'T>all.'

No, you just have me constantly giving the same comments because although you understand some of what you're supposed to do, you don't understand why. If you can't feel why your mains are awkward, or see why your mineral formations are bad, I can't fix that. There's a certain amount of 'feel' that comes from playing SC, I have no way to convey that to you.

Use SCMD and look harder.

Then you aren't cut out for this. Check just XY, make a 2p, you can handle it.

Mine are actually some of the most correct. Look at proleague maps and compare your lines. If you can't see the difference, I can't help you.

If they don't look like this, they're wrong.

I've mentioned mains to you on just about every map you've made. See first comment.

Its still too tight, mainly because its XYXY

Then you're playing inferior players/they're making dumb mistakes/you're all terrible.

I really want to open the map up and show you things, but this laptop doesn't have SC and my main PC with my ISOs is down. :(

Thank you, lock.

As for your wanting to show me things, if you ever do get the chance, I'm all ears. I seem to remember you blocking me on MSN.

Whats this? I dont even...
But seriously, the MAIN PROBLEM in all of your maps is probably the depth, the mineral lines and amounts and tank holes. Then focus on tightness.

None.

Way to fail in memeland.

So, wait, concept isn't the issue anymore?
I keep trying to place tanks everywhere and I can't. >.<
I'll stop putting creativity and thought into my mineral lines. -,-

XYXY maps can't really have a concept. :/

Ultraviolet -- You might even be able to turn another unused unit into a map revealer imitation with a smaller vision range so that you could have both normal map revealers and smaller map revealers. Not sure about this one though.

youarenotworthy shouted: Does anybody know of a way to reveal just a sliver of the map? Smaller than what a map revealer would reveal? Or is there a way to block the map revealer off at a certain point? I can't use units to achieve what I'm trying to do.
Using EUDs, you can reduce the vision range of map revealers. But of course this will apply to all map revealers. They have a default vision range of 10. For some of my maps, I've been increasing their vision range to 11 and giving them detection and it works nicely. Reducing vision range should work the same.

if at the beginning of the game (as opposed to at some later time in game) is enough, just edit the fog of war layer.

The OP says he cannot use units. But if it's not units, what else? (there's a command to reveal the area in AISE, but it's only for 1.16)
