Lag Problems

I've looked through a couple of topics regarding lag problems, and they either revolve around not being able to host or involve several people trying to use the same network to play SC, as I understand.

For me, it's different. I'm using a router and an internet card; there are no other computers in our network using SC. It seems I have normal browsing speed and with no problems. However, my ability to connect to battle net is... fluctuating with a period of about 5-10 minutes. If it's in the 'bad mood', I can't even access my account on b.net (the screen 'accessing account' just stays there until I press cancel). If it's in the 'good mood', I can connect, perhaps even join a game (not good enough to host, though), but will still lag the hell out of everyone in the lobby and game.

This is going on for several months now, but I clearly remember that when I first moved into the new room, I had no such problems.

What do you think is the problem and what may be its solution(s)?

None.

Nobody's downloading/uploading anything.

I remember there being something regaring port forwarding (or whatever it is). Can that be related to the problem at hand.

None.

The sword and the faith

Definitely port forwarding.

Google Starcraft Port Forwarding, or see that I have done it for you here and here.

On a side note, neither of these guides is very good. I think SEN needs one of its own that does things in much more detail.

I tried accessing my routar with the default IP (176.89.0.1. or something like that), but it didn't work. I'll talk to my flatmate who is an IT god. I'd like to do it manually because I don't like installing new software on this computer. I'll post again when I get some results.
