Good for a start, don't try making them with just stacked pieces they kinda look like Excalibur's building because of it.
Instead of the try blending pieces and not just randomly placing them. Good work, though. You're getting the idea really fast. This post was edited 1 time, last edit by Corbo: Aug 29 2007, 8:45 pm.

The first image isn't loading for me because this computer is a deccaying peice of garbage, so I'll just base it on the second one.
It looks like a random, jumbled arrangement of parts. There's seemingly no flow, no blending, and it just looks really sketchy, and choppy. On the bright side, it's not a complete eyesore to look at. You didn't really screw up hard, you're just not exceding. When peicing biuldings together, try to have an initial design in mind. Is it going to be a defense tower? A factory? Then, try to shape it around that design. Also, put peices where they belong. You don't have to use large peices, but just place the peices in good spots. Like, take a base peice of some sort to start with. If it has a round spot on it, add a round, or cylinder type peice to it. Of course, not everything has to fit together like this, but it has to at least look like it has some order to it, and not be entirely chaotic. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

rax was about 10-20 minutes, cause i pasted a lot of stuff from other buildings... a lot
academy was about the same not really sure edit: added a new rax, still not very good, but better than the old one i.m.o. i think i have a habit of pasting too many parts onto the building... then it becomes very scrambled This post was edited 1 time, last edit by someone09: Aug 30 2007, 2:11 am.

I kinda like most of the second image, actualy. It could do without the four tubes in the bottom right ( Battlecruiser...? o_O ) , but other than that I don't see much wrong with it. It's got a bit too much going on, but it is clean and fits together well.
The last one, on the other hand, looks like almost no attention was given to making sure the pieces fit together, like custom terrain with no blending whatsoever. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I am gooey...
