Shield breaker is especially effective when the enemy has low armor to begin with. Be it caused by a Demented Shaman ult or just because he's a weak caster.
When you face heroes that like to tp away or have channeling spells the Mace's ministun is what you want.

All in all the Savage Mace is more expensive but also more powerful. The true strike is especially helpful vs. Nighthound's smoke.

Savage Mace for sure. Any decent player counters BH just by TP'ing whenever he ults you or you're in danger.

But BH sucks, and a Mock is better than either on him if you can farm it.

Back* from the grave

I'm gettin good with vindi, the only downside is pubbies love to leave, or just play like idiots and get raped.

BTW, you know you can get both SB and Mace, right? One is a basher, the other an attack mod. They can both work at the same time.

Duh... If only you can come up with that extra 4500 or so gold suddenly...

They're asking which to get on him first... Also he needs slots for items better than SB.

Are you sure about that?

I am not playing Bloodhunter, just wondering because I used to play him. Heck, he is good early/mid game, but late game other carries are FAR better.

I have been playing some decent matches with Soulstealer, and I CAN come up with 4500 gold extra with his farming capabilities :P Just had a game with both Savage Mace and Shieldbreaker. Though I think Shield Breaker is better at first on Soulstealer, because of the negative armor. It worked really well for me.

Funny hero, Soulstealer, totally bent towards offense. If one is good at kiting and has good team mates or babysitters, shit becomes awesome lategame.

I once went like 15-0 as Soulstealer, only thing I had was a Port Key + Shrunken Head. ;) So awesome teleporting in and unleashing havoc. My favourite moment was IP was Magebane, and I was Soulstealer, their whole team jumps on him and start pounding on him. Just as he teleports out, I teleport in, ultimate, instantly kill three. I then pick off one more, and the whole team gets genocided.

I still have no idea how these terms come about. Hit and run >>> kiting (unless I still don't know what kiting means, in which case enlighten me).

You lead the enemy as if by a string towards somewhere. Like he was a kite.

so it means lure?

No, it means to lead the enemy like he was a kite, which is different from luring. The repeated process of continually causing him to follow you is kiting basically, you lure him first, and then you kite him so he takes damage and you take zero.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

so it means hit and run, and by enemy you mean a non player?

Arachna players love to do it because their strong slow. And it works with players and neutrals alike.
But I must agree with rockz: I find hit and run infinitely more descriptive and intuitive than kiting...
Especially since I've never seen a kite do a tp. :P

But I think when you look at the goal of kiting it becomes more clear: You try to keep a melee enemy at a constant distance no matter if he flees or tries to engage.

I am seriously gonna fuck up someone... I have never felt this level of range in my entire life.

Playing a game as FA, and doing really well. went 11-0 within 40 minutes, not bad, carried, everything. It was even a 4v5. Our team was doing pretty well (and by my team i mean me and electrician, as chipper and voodoo pretty much sucked a big one).

Then it starts getting frustrating. Panda gets a shrunken, and focuses me with his ulti right away, every time. I had a hard time doing anyhting in teamfights, and I wound up dying 3 times with no kills, but it wasn't that bad.

Then we go and try to gank chronos, me and chipper. Chronos bubbles, and pyro comes out of the woods. O shit, so i endure the full brunt of their combined fury, proceed to hit my symbol of rage (haahaha) and heal back much of my health while beating down on chronos. He gets to about 400HP, when pyro ultis me and take me to half life, I shoot pyro about three times and he runs away at half health.

At this point, i notice chipper in mid, when we ganked bottom. I was pissed. Had he been there to deal some extra DPS and attack some, we cuda got chronos and pyro, and made the final push to end the game, especially considering it was a 70+ minute game. I called him out.

Next thing I know, my teammates call to kick me. Since i was carrying our team, the opponents pass it.

So now, since I carried the game and called someone out for a mistake, I get a leave added, in addition to probably losing the PSR for said game.

And this is why i rage at stats...

Yes I'm mad.

she/her

Brazilians in HoN generally f*cking blow. True story. Just went 5/0 with Devourer in 15m. And then we lose after 30 minutes of fighting with only half the team. Oh, and we had Scout. Thanks to my teammates, we lost. And by lost, I mean conceded. F*cking idiots.

Damn.

I think I just had one of my best matches ever as nh. ID: 38453657 14/3/9
Started off superbad (3 deaths, Hag fed all game), but after I solo'd Kongor, I was in heaven.

Um. Try again with the match ID. -.-

My internet will be fixed for next year! =)

In SC:R - yes you can. In normal SC: no, cause many tilesets use colors unavailable in others

NudeRaider -- You are undead, why wouldn't you and your creations (GPTP) exist as (in) graves? I don't get why this needs fixing.

NudeRaider -- I can't say but it sounds plausible. You'd still have the problem with the palette.

NudeRaider -- *make new tiles
[10:15 am]
NudeRaider -- The map structure only ever recognizes one tileset at a time. So you'd have to define your own map format then make an .exe that can load such files. I don't think it's ever been done; it sounds like a lot of work. What's commonly done with modding is creating a new tileset. Then you decide which tiles go in there. You can also make new ones. You will probably also have to create a new palette as the different tilesets share only part of their colors. Finally entering speculation territory you could maybe use EUDs to dynamically change the graphics of certain tiles. Not sure if it's possible, but if it is, you better make a topic for it.
