The new hero feels pretty underwhelming. Charge is way too slow, IMO. Should be same speed as Kraken's or something.

Too bad we lost them all Loveless, but no reason to become a dick, dude.
I don't know how much you actually read after the game, but you really shouldn't start fights during a game. Save that for afterwards. As SW correctly said a while back this is what loses games. Look at those fags from the LAN party, or that Chtuluphant that insisted on jungling leaving tard scout soloing top. This shit's only hurting our game.
Btw. you should always try to pull a lane close to your tower. We could've easily killed Soulreaper then. And as a support you should've been the one buying the ward. I'm sure it would've made a big difference when we had killed SR one or two times instead of getting ganked ourselves.
On a related note, after getting well into the 1600s my MMR crashed to just over 1500 today. Nothing like sad games.

I kinda expected I couldn't hold myself there but I didn't think I'd drop over 100 in just 1 day. Oh well, I'm sure I can work myself back up when I stop playing SD.

Also I need some tips how to carry. I can hold my own with a carry hero but I never seem to actually be dominant. I know that's partly because I'm not too good at farming gold, getting levels and still helping in teamfights all at once. What general tips are there to maximize gold and XP with a carry? Maybe a few tips on how to be most effective in teamfights for specific carries would help too. (Btw. thx Faz- I think your tips the other day, especially about last hitting, actually helped me)
Nude I don't even remember playing with you, what's your username now? =o
I'm so done with all of the garbage new heroes, can't wait for Dota2 beta.
None.

Let me show you how to hump without making love.

To learn to be a good carry is not actually that hard, the hardest role I have seen is to be a good ganker since it requires the most balance between laning and ganking so you don't fall behind.
Anyways, early on you want to last hit and avoid damage. Come in for the hits and run off, don't be aggressive unless it's an easy kill that wont cost you much to acquire. As for helping in fights, only go when say your lane will get involved and like I said earlier, bares little risk for you. After you get your core item, you want to start really participating in fights around mid game. I used to play a pretty good Sand Wraith and there was even a strange time back in the HoN beta where I was carrying with Glacius in 1600-1750 PSR games. It really just requires a good knowledge of the play styles of each hero in the match, knowing your build from the start-up screen and still adapting throughout the match. Having a hero with a stun, lane sustainability or just pure babysit abilities is pretty much required if you expect to have little to worry about in terms of farming and excelling during the laning phase.

I'm still NudeRaider. We haven't played afaik.
This is what I'm talking about:
You just need to notice ahead of time that two creeps are taking equal damage and adjust that by attacking one a couple of times. With the tower, it's more a math thing. Two tower hits plus two autoattacks is a kill on a ranged creep, 4-5 (forget) tower hits and two autoattacks is a kill on melee creeps. Obviously adjust for incoming damage from your friendly creeps.
The tower thing was just a tiny detail, but essential. I also pay more attention to last hits now. Still having problems with targeting though.
I can't coin farm even half as much as I used to thanks to my situation.
Hopefully, my situation changes by October 3rd.

Let me show you how to hump without making love.
I have lost almost 300 MMR trying to get more coins. I keep getting mad pubs and the game is usually 4v5 within the first 2-5 minutes.

Anyone else disliking Monarch? That hero just seems out of place.
Been playing quite a bit. Like Cthu and Rhapsody. Rhap could do some pretty OP shit pushing before they nerfed her heal/damage to 1/2 on creeps. And I just made her look OP in general.

Her W sucks, I level it last. Throw down her poison and the slow is absolutely disgusting. Play her as a nuker.
None.
Might take until December 15 to get back home. Until hen, I'm stuck with ~8 games a week. -_-
How often are you people playing? Enough to stay in shape for when I get back, I hope. I expect everyone to have a higher MMR by the time I get back.
GREAT EXPECTATIONS

regarding MMR... I play too much with my friends who insist on SD and long losing streaks

.
But I fare really badly if I play with random heroes. I need to get into a flow with a hero and play it a couple of times to be effective with it.
So despite my MMR being low when you come back (1450ish currently) I think I'll do fine if we play AP.
I don't see much rationale for the nerfs to SW's ult. I just don't. He's weak enough in the early game, why not give him that much needed buff for the late? He is still very much stoppable, considering how much his passive's been nerfed...

Also, Faz, you better not let ONE defeat get in the way of us playing again.
Had nothing to do with the defeat, was more about you throwing the game and then expecting people to be okay with it.
I'd rather not waste my time.

I was just playing really badly. I don't usually play Swift, so I was out of the mindset. I also missed the creep stack at 0:55 (if only they were snotters!). Gank on mid was legitimately MK's fault. Rest of the game, I was just playing badly.
I'm fairly out of shape because I only get like 1 game a day on weekdays, 2 on weekends.
Hopefully, I can bump up to 2 games a weekday if I finish all of my duties in time.
Now that I've found a way to increase my game time...
Holy shit, I've rusted HARD.
I still play! Name: saVa8e
None.
After having been away for about a month, I started back with HoN.
Getting slightly bored though as the only heroes I truly find fun are Emerald Warden, Nymphora and Rampage. I always chicken out of a mid-solo with EW, but when I'm forced into it I do surprisingly well. @Nude: I find to dominate as a carry you should only leave your lane for a guaranteed kill/double tap, and this works best when you have rune dominance at mid lane and your team/you pay close attention to the minimap. OF course, luck plays into it as well... or whether the other team reports your missing.. (unlike a recent game when Deadwood was allowed to get immortal by 30 minutes...)
I always go Phase Boots + Sustainer on EW as my 'main items'. Spamming your silence/nuke and wolves really hurts squishy heroes, and usually initiates nicely into a kill when you sprint with your boots to get your birdy to smack someone in the face.
I'm finding Nymphora really fun but only in 'clan' games. That little hero has so much utility throughout the game... but I played two solo matchmaking games and for some reason I was solo nymph for both of them... The levels help but you still can't fend off two heroes in your lane - and then my team bitched at me because I was feeding. lulz.
These new heroes still confuse me... Cthuluphant is kinda fun... Only seen Monarch once... Midas is kinda OP in my opinion, but I havn't played him yet so I don't know... Geomancer is fun but the AoE on his (first skill maybe?) seems too small, either that or I just suck with him hehe.. Rhapsody/Keeper of the Forest/Jereziah/Bubbles = imba team, but not really seen Rhapsody much recently...
Rambling.

I probably won't be able to play anymore. I've moved to another city where I can only have mobile Internet and that's too unstable. Such a shame really.
