Pseudo MIDI Engine DEMOSomething I threw together in about two days out of curiosity. It is what the title says, a pseudo MIDI engine in a StarCraft map.

INTRODUCTIONPlayers will create their own songs by using an easy to understand and use interface. They will plot notes into desired locations in the treble clef.
FEATURES- To place a note, players will move their wraith to the desired location and move the marine. Inverted location movement detection available for the first two players who are priority, the other five have 1px locations.
- The first two players can hear each other's songs. The other five are not implemented because of the amount of effort required.
- Map features are pretty self explanatory through unit names and common sense.
SCREENSHOTS/DEMOLobbyMove the marine to place a note under the wraithPlacing a notePlaying the song

Made with the Map Production template.Definitely isn't something that someone'll want to host over and over. But, still thought it was a neat idea to play with. Comments, suggestions, criticisms appreciated. Hope you enjoy.
If you're going to host this on Battle.Net, host the protected one with the -P at the end. The other file is open source for learning purposes.
Oh, and, if something like this was done before, I'd also appreciate it if someone informed me of those maps. Thanks.

None.
>be faceless void >mfw I have no face
This looks good. The idea was discussed before but I don't think anyone ever made a map.
Red classic.
"In short, their absurdities are so extreme that it is painful even to quote them."
When did you start this map?
None.
Sept. 4th at about 9PM IIRC.
None.
Oh, because I saw a map like this from like 2 years ago and it looks similar. Well good luck.
None.
I see no practical use yet, but it sure is a lot of fun to play with! Awesome job.

After a friend hosted it for me, I found out this map is a mess playing with two or more people. Only attempt playing it single-player for now..
None.
Sleeping wolves wake hungry.
I meant more like "I see no practical use since you can't save a song and use it in some other way." It wasn't supposed to be negative, if you perhaps thought it was. I actually really like playing around with this map, I just wish there was a way to save a song from one game to another (which, I assume, would be a huge bitch to do).

Doesn't the built in save feature work?
Yes. I know that no maps on SC necessarily serve a practical purpose other than entertainment, but whenever I see music maps I usually wish they were more like self-sustaining music programs where I could save a song and hear it outside of StarCraft.

You could record it with a 3rd party program as it plays back from your speakers.
