What a horrible loss for the entertainment world.

I like a lot of his older music. I thought he was cool when I was a kid. I felt a tinge of sadness when I heard he died. But I'm also repulsed at how the media is treating this like it's a bigger deal than what's going on in Iran, for instance (which doesn't have a topic at SEN).

Meh... I can see the tv channels in the next few days filled with MJ marathons...

It's because Iran doesn't affect us here in the states. Millions of people, however, loved Michael Jackson back in the day. It really is a sad thing, seeing as how he was only 50.

I don't know what music he made, I know that he went insane and had over 9000 plastic surgeries. That's about it, he seems so dull and stupid that I'm not sure whether I'm happy he's dead or whether I don't care. Probably don't care.

As for the Iran thing, I'm just getting really bored of being the only one to start such topics. Plus, I'm too lazy to start another arguefest with Vrael .

I always thought he sucked. He was insane anyway. Though, moonlight steps still thrill me

Micheal Jackson was a big BIG thing back then.. and tho I only know two of his songs :\ .. they're still pretty good and I can understand why he was so big back then...

It makes me feel sad because MJ could've died a lot happier if only he wasn't addicted to plastic surgeries.

I am sorry. That was disrespectful of me. MJ always put out great tunes. When you get around all the tabloids, you can see he was a really talented artist. My favorite song by him is probably Beat It.

As for Farrah Fawcett, what can I say? She was a babe in the 70s and 80s, and she did die of anal cancer. Somewhere right now, Loserville Express's Matzerath is laughing.

Seriously, MJ's music is good, his decisions after he stopped making music werent. COULDNT HE JUST DO DRUGS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.

A few years ago I joined the quite juvenile and stupid bandwagon of all this "OMG MJ MOLESTED A CHILD LOLOLOLOL! HE'S A F**KED UP D00D." (Hence my old old signature of the Home Alone kid with MJ peering through the window picture.) Took me a while to realize how stupid I and everyone else who thought of MJ this way were. No one, and I mean NO ONE can ever be as great as Michael Jackson.

Poor guy. MJ was certainly a beast, whether you liked him or hated him. I want to know what happens to his monkey, Bubbles, though. One of my co-workers made the great point that Bubbles would fill in well for one of the managers at my store... and we could give him free bananas...

Michael Jackson's repertoire extends past the albums. He was one of the first stars to appear on the simpsons, and he wrote music for Sonic the Hedgehog. I'll miss him...
