Drop System:
Into my map, there will be only 4 things wich can drop from dead corpse : rings, armors, weapons and cash. I decided that for technical reasons and also because the rest ain't that useful.
Except for cash, all those categories will be represented, once dropped, as a power-ups unit wich you'll simply need to go near it to get it.
Magical items will simply be the same power-ups type, but an other number (eg: Gas Tank 2).


Equipment System:
For sure, I won't let you take all you want!
This is why I'll add a maximum of item value.
What is a value :
In Diablo II, each item takes it own place into your inventory, well, the number of squares it takes into your inventory is what I'm calling value.


Save/Load System:
Well, because I'm planifying on making Act 2, 3, 4 and 5 and also implementing difficulty levels (Normal, Nightmare and Hell), I obviously have to make a save/load system for you guys to be able to take the same character as you had in the last game (Except cash and XP, it'll all be exactly the same thing).

Very nice, if you are looking for an idea for a druid I would suggest a combination between hero templar w/out enough mana to cast spells, and a dark archon in an area in which he could summon units by mind controling them.

The forgotten tower would be better if you used terrain a bit more, overal great use of terrain and stuff. Try and cut back on the sprites and dt placement :/.

Lol... it's hard to make good looking AND realist terrain without sprites...

Actually, if you open it in starforge, then save the sprites go away and turn into actuall terrain. so infact he's limitless : )

If your going to do it that way then I would save the map as a different file name until you know that everything works right. I did something like that before and for some odd reason just by saving it in StarForge, my whole map was full of bugs that weren't in it to begin with.

First off, sf is the worst thing invented... It corrupts maps like democrates make me wanna punch babies :lol: No but seriously it can't save it as terrain either... It may appear to do that but it just wont work once you pass the real sprite limit. :)

I tryed to make my 2 first map with SF... they all turned to crash SC for NO reasons.

See!!! 1.17 megabytes of satan! (probably made by a mexican with a mexi-stache who works in the fast food industry :P )

As for the map, looks like you're really putting alot into this, which I like to see because it stinks when there isn't enough, but don't go overkill either cause those maps rarely get finished(ie crescent dyne).... Which is a shame because everyone gets their hopes up :><: . So don't go killin my dreams by not finishing this map aight!?

k, so what do you think the overall % completeness of this map is?

Nothing has been done except some terrain... :><:
Terrain is approximativly done at 35%. :|
And I can't work so much on it because of parents and school :-( But I do my best and I won't abandon this:P

Because I'm limited with terrains (I cannot implement ALL of those), tell me wich of those I should add :
Outer Cloister, Barracks, Jail and Inner Cloister.

I honestly have never played d2 cause my mother wont let me HAHA!!! :P but seriously so i don't really know what you are talking about when you say the names of places...

As for recreating that ancint door look, i know there is a map made by rantent on falkners map making website that has some cool things that might resemble it. :) Check it out maybe?

Anyway man it looks great, but dont forget to do some deco using real terrain, because eye grabbing melee style appeals to many including me.

And if you need some help on triggs/getting past an annoying hitch just message me as I usually can do something.

Good call. :) it doesn't always need to be fancy, but a few things here and there make it really stand out. :}
