SCMDraft problem?

So I'm using SCMDraft 2.0 (Beta 0.8.0), and I think I had some kind of undetected save error. When I opened my map, some of my latest trigger changes were missing, and a stack of buildings that I had belonging to player 6 seemed to have been randomly redistributed to players 5 and 8. I corrected the ownership of the stack of buildings and saved. When I went to test, for some reason, player 6 didn't exist. In the preview screen (Single Player > Custom Map), it said that there were 4 humans and 3 computers, instead of the 4 humans and 4 computers that it should have been. I have a backup (luckily, it's from yesterday, so there's not much lost), but I kind of want to know what could have caused the problem. I tried replacing player 6's start location, but that didn't work either. Map is attached.

Is the error still happening? Or was it just that one thing? Could it be that you just did some weird stuff, then later accidentally forgot to save?

It sounds like the error is still happening from his post. Only thing I can think of is double check the player settings in Map Properties, if it did incorrectly save its very possible one or more of the settings were changed.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

A missing player altough you placed start locations for him? I had that bug once. Seems to be a problem of ScmDraft. I was told repeatedly replacing the Start Location could fix it, but I had no luck with it.
What helped for me was saving it in another editor, then going back to scmdraft.

Another Editor = StarForge

Yes, that's what I used. But depending on the map you could also use X-tra, Fartyedit, Proedit, heck even OSMAP.

I had the same problem with Five Triggers, but since I had a 2 hour time limit, I didn't bother trying to fix it and just converted Player 5 into Player 6.

Is this a pure 0.8.0 problem or the text exe fix? I don't know all of what went into the fix other than a (unit?) sprite recognition fix. I don't think I've ever encountered this problem before.

As far as I can remember that happened to me with 0.8.0.0 (no b)

I see you !

never heard of this before, have any more details? And are you sure the save map was not open in something else? Scmdraft saves all changes to a temp file and then tries to copy this to the original file location.

Hang on, that bug happened to me just 2 days ago. With some luck I still have the bugged map.

I see you !

a map with some changes missing most likely would not help me, unless you could tell me how to recreate this.

Oh? I thought you could check the map data and see what went wrong and based on that find out why ScmDraft did it that way.
Because I can't tell you how to recreate the bug. It happens very rarely and seemingly random. But it could be because I was changing ownership of some start locations or cut and paste them.
