Okay, so me and MrrLL decided to play StarCraft last night. We've always been able to join each other's games.
So, I host a game and he gets the latency error. Which is unusual because I never ever have latency problems. So, we decided to try the latency fix where I join his game first. Much to my dismay, I am unable to join his game either. The only way for us to play together is for both of us to join a game hosted by a third party. Even able we are both in such a game, we still cannot join each other's games.
We have tried clearing the bnet cache (bncache.dat), resetting connections, etc... still no luck. An unbreakable two-way latency problem. If anyone has any ideas to fix this, that would be spectacular.
I have this problem with you too, kind of. Whenever I join a game with you, I start lagging and the game lags. When you join mine, it is fine and there is no lag. I can join other people's game, but when the game starts it lags. It's probably the new patch most likely.
None.
Might be an issue with the new B.net. I had the same problem the other night too.
None.
This also happened to me where I had two accounts on B.net loaded and both of them joined a game with my friend. This caused him to have high lat (
No one could' join his games for the rest of session in B.net, if he re-entered B.net it would reset. Also, he couldn't join my games.

This is an issue that happens when you're both behind the same router, since it's going out through the same port, each computer only gets every other packet, this causes major lag, and can only be fixed by editing the registry to change which port is used.

I have a question about latency! I re forward my ports and refreshed my connection but random days I will not be able to host. I can play and have a good connection but no hosting powers :l what could be the cause of this?
You asshole, you logged off MSN RIGHT AFTER I fixed it. I had to forward my ports through .102, not .100, I guess. I hosted a public game and people joined.
None.
Can someone explain what are Port for? What does it changes to lag?
None.
I actually have the same problem with a bunch of SENers, mainly Falkoner and Laser_Dude.

Okay, I can host public games, but Moose and I still have a 2 way lat problem. Devilesk and I suddenly have the same problem now too.
None.
The one between you and devilesk isnt an issue, its an act of god

Merrell, go on MSN more often.
We need some kind of latency-fix hack. :x
I lag with Doodle. It kept me from playing mods at MMM with most people.

Ports are what your computer uses to connect to other computers over networks.
Certain ports are used by Blizzard Games, and if you're behind a router, you usually have to go in and "Port Forward" the ports that Blizzard games use.
