Back on SEN V4.1, we had a Polling Forum that was a subforum in null. It caused a lot less spam and allowed for forums games such as Survivor to be played without cluttering up the place. I think it would behoove us to reopen the polling booth.
Thoughts? Endorsements?
None.
It's not for forum games, it's for all the polls created in Null. On old SEN, we had 11 pages of only polls involving things from Survivor to What's Your Favourite Colour.
None.
I'm in favor of the idea, but I don't really care that much.
None.
So... why exactly was I reported?
If you're going to create a polling subforum, you'd need guidelines. Would the forum be nothing BUT polls? Or would there be text involved?
None.
Every topic was a poll, but you could post in the topics. It allowed us to play poll-based forum games like Survivor without cluttering up the place, and ask random questions such as "How old are you!?111one"

Games forum > poll forum?
Polls forum would lead to lots of stupid polls due to it's sole nature.

I don't see the point in putting a poll forum as a subcategory to the Games forum... it fits better underneath Null. If there are a lot of stupid polls, and you don't want that, then we can make up some rules against stupid polls so that we have a grounds to close them.

I meant, instead of a poll forum, a forum games forum.

Oooooooooooo. If you do that there's going to be a whole lot of people starting stupid forum games just the same. I think I'd rather have a poll forum myself.

I agree.
A resurrected polling booth under null will be the way to go.
I remember that some part of the polls made were also not games. I know I did use it sometimes for statistical recordings
fuck you all
Well since there's a debate about whether there should be a games or polling booth subforum of Null then I say we we just title the subforum "Other". That way you'll be able to post either a forum game or a poll, much like you can now in Null.
None.
Why do you oppose a games forum? You don't have to visit it, and it would clean null up. Remember the objective of the site is a fun community for Mappers/ Modders/ StarCraft players. You aren't demeaning the site by allowing forum games and an average level of English...
None.
You could have it as a temporary forum so we don't assume thats it's gonna go horribly wrong and instead get "proof" that it will. After 3-4 stupid topics that start off the second the admins open the forum they can just as simply close it, delete it, and forget about the idea. No one gets injured. Ez Pz.

Taking this one step further, we should rename Null to The Inferno. Then we'd have nine levels of "hell" each one representing a certain kind of null topic and level of stupidity. As you get deeper into the Inferno, the topics will get dumber and crappier. In the ninth circle you will find the scum of SEN posting.
For example, the first circle would be called Limbo and it would have a subforum that would be the second circle. The second circle would have a subforum to the third and the third a subforum to the fourth until you get to the ninth circle.

This, except as subforums of null, not of each other.
