How would one improve island hop? The blizz map.
Ex:
1)Placing minerals to block command center float on expo islands.
2)Removing islands where ghosts can nuke from

What are zerg advantages you could add?

Use Oblivion/Artmoney and send the drone the build command, allowing it to float to islands
