AMD Athlon X2 Windsor 4200+ - $185
DFI LanParty UT nF590 SLI-M2R/g - $200 Sapphire Radeon X1950 Pro - $200 Ultra Wizard Case - $10 AR Ultra 500 W PSU - FAR Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320 GB - $95 GEiL 1 GB DDR2-667 - $100 That's $790 when I bought it a year and a half ago. I could put together the same computer or better for under $300. FYI, my graphics card is much better than the 2600, though it's a power hog. It's roughly equivalent to a 7900 or a non shitty 8600.  Of the sparkling wines, the most famous is Perth Pink. This is a bottle with a message in, and the message is 'beware'. This is not a wine for drinking, this is a wine for laying down and avoiding.
Another good fighting wine is Melbourne Old-and-Yellow, which is particularly heavy and should be used only for hand-to-hand combat. |

Isn't that mobo is little overpowered for Echo's needs?
I'd honestly wait for Core i7 to come out before making a purchase. Even if the rumored prices are true, it would add more products and force Intel to cut the prices on their remaining inventory. And Intel might surprise everyone and realease i7 at a more affordable price. And drop the sound card, it's useless without a good sound system. Bye!

Base FSB is 1333 but mines doing 1600 no problem. RAM standard is DDR2 800.

Future with what? So he can get a dual-socket serverboard? Go Quad Crossfire with a pair of 4870x2's? Energy consumption isn't going up, it's going down if anywhere. Echo won't need such a large PSU.
