Send me the map and I could take it for you.
I will when I'm finished up, still need to work on a few things.

Subways are boring, I'm out.

I would like to submit this. I realize it's not really good, it's rather blocky. Badlands is one tough tileset. I also didn't work on it as much as I should've, Urban Dead has been distracting me. I will probably redo this, but for now, here is my not-so-great subway:
EAT FRESH!!I will atleast win on the category of "best quality giant picture".

It's fair work. I simply like the layout. Mine isn't so realistic with the layout, whereas yours actually could be a sub station.

Thanks. I based it off actual Subway stations I've been to in New York, as well as the Amtrak station from Philly to New York (just an FYI, I don't live in Philadelphia).
Farty asked me:

[22:49] TheGreatYam@hotmail.com: Huh?
[22:49] TheGreatYam@hotmail.com: IT IS NUB
[22:49] Saint of Idiocy - YOU LOSE THE GAME.: Subways have a third rail to supply power
[22:50] TheGreatYam@hotmail.com: I know
[22:50] TheGreatYam@hotmail.com: But it wouldn've fit
[22:50] TheGreatYam@hotmail.com: Use your imagination
[22:50] Saint of Idiocy - YOU LOSE THE GAME.: Or does your subway run on the souls of children?
[22:50] TheGreatYam@hotmail.com: Yes
[22:50] TheGreatYam@hotmail.com: Yes it does

I really like Jabok's. Like really. Like a lot.

Yeah.. I'm not going to post a piece of terrain for this obviously.. I'm out of ideas and out of time. Anyways.. I would say it's between TGY, and JaBok's subways..

I wasn't aware we were voting??

I like JaBoK's because it's more colorful, but YamHelm's is the best, JaBoK's is a little too unit/sprite infested for me, and Yam's is very terrain-based.

So mine is just the red-headed step child? lol

Oh! Sorry, forgot about that one, but sorry, it's definitely my least favorite, although it is still very very nice, terrain-wise it's better than JaBoKs, but not good enough to make it beat his with his use of sprites.

In my defense, the tiles are units -.-

In my defense, the tiles are units -.-
Either way, there is a limit.
None.
Well, 59 sprites and 142 units for a major terrain piece that covers about 1/36 of a 256/256 map (or 1/8 if you put three stations in a line)
In an RPG in which the subway stations are used often and are part of the storyline, this is perfectly reasonable, as no other terrain piece in the city would have to be this unit-heavy or this sprite-heavy. In any case, in an RPG there is nothing with with preplacing a good 1500 units and 499 sprites, and that's what kind of map you'd put a subway in anyways. In any case, SC has limits on strings, map size, upgrades, etc. but nobody complains when you push those to the limit. Anyways, high unit and sprite counts are fine as long as you don't actually go over the limit, and when you're trying to make realistic terrain I see no problem in throwing sprites and units in the mix.
