-UPDATES-
New features - more music, arena battle song, also more unit balances and spell balances, enjoy version 2.1
Major balancing updates and glitch fixes, download the map here: http://www.staredit.net/?file=1857&load=edit

New Spells -
Acid Dragon
-Lv.15 Spell - Instead of just summoning a hallucination, the hallucination can now tank spell damage without going 'poof' like any other hallu, also the hallucination will mimic every spell used by the original Acid Dragon himself, although some spells cannot fully be copied as it is a hallucination after all, like the ultimate, Acid Ball can only be 'fake' and fooling the enemy, and the Earth Quake has only 1/3 of the original power.

Acid Dragon can now also morph in the place of the hallucination (inspired from the hero Morphling @ Dota, not the SEN member lol) with a cost of 700 energy (gas), this will also make the teleportation look as if the original had died.

Tsuarku
Lv.5 Spell - Now whenever Dragon Sword is summoned and is next to Tsuarku, his shields will activate continuously as a way to block damage.

-Spell Changes-
Red Knight
-Lv.10 Spell
Old -
Heals all shields by paying 160 energy (gas).

New -
All spell damage towards Red Knight is reduced, no energy required.

Lv.15 Spell
Old -
Slashes enemy up to 3 times weakening them up to 3 times, 1500 energy (gas).

New -
Slashes enemy up to 3 times 'maiming' them up to 9 seconds and disrupting their mana regen, 1500 energy (gas).

Speed Ninja
Lv.15 Spell
Old -
Summons 2 Ultras up to 3.5 seconds, 1550 energy (gas).

New -
Battle Rage - All enemy units are forced to attack Speed Ninja for 4 seconds. 1550 energy (gas).

Sakatokuroma
Lv.5 Spell
Old -
Summons 1 Lightning Knight, 1000 energy (gas).

New -
Summons a lightning vortex that drags all enemies within the aoe towards Sakatokuroma and disabling their attack for 3.5 seconds, 1200 energy (gas).

-UPDATES-
Timers have been decreased to:
4 Minutes Pros Only
9 Minutes Easy Mode
18 Minutes Very Hard Mode
27 Minutes Hard Mode

Scroll of The Dead HP reduced to 10%

-UPDATES-

I've yet again made another major update, since the majority of the people who played my map really hated the defiler casting system, I have turned it to the building casting system to ease it up for everyone, since you guys can't do high APM (COUGH!), well besides that I've also added a new scroll to the list:

Scroll of The Dead - When you kill an enemy summon in battle, using this scroll will revive that summon on your side as a zombie.
Zombie attributes: 15% health on the unit until something with more damage can kill it. In other words, your zombie summons are invulnerable to all attacks that don't do enough damage to 1 hit kill it, and while you've 'stolen' the original summoner's pet, he cannot summon any of the same creature until the zombie of that unit is slain. The scroll also costs only 1 token, so stock them up!

-UPDATES-

I've once again upgraded this map, but this time, it's on a whole new level!

I've added some extra options while red is choosing the timer:
- Disable white contestant? - you can now choose to disable Sasersaki the computer as a contestant! (to do so, simply lift off the command center)
- Enable Lives? - you can now enable lives during training!, the cost of it is to pay 8000 experience + all your mana to the Reaper though, however if you die without enough experience, you don't come back :(. (Simply morph the creep colony to enable this feature).
- Scrolls? - I've added a new feature on the map, this is the so-called scrolls, you can now purchase scrolls with minerals on the far right side of the map.

Tokens -
Tokens are the things you buy in order to purchase the scrolls, depending on the difficulty of the timer, the token prices will vary, all scrolls are ONE TIME USE ONLY, if you want to use them more, you would need to buy more.

Scroll Features -

Teleportation scroll - This scroll allows you to instantly teleport to your enemy.
Regeneration scroll - This scroll summons a medic that has unlimited energy, with the abilities: Heal, Restoration.
Venom scroll - This scroll allows you to summon a defiler with plague.
Silence scroll - This scroll allows the user to disable all spell casting from their enemies for 20 seconds.
Mana stealing scroll - This scroll allows the user to steal his/her enemy's mana for a total of 5 seconds. Note: As the victim of this scroll, he/she should move out of the aoe ASAP to disrupt it.
Revivication scroll - This scroll allows the user to summon an egg on the battle field, once the hero dies, he is born within the egg with 50% of it's original hp. Note: the egg has HP, so attempt to kill it whenever possible.

Other changes made are to balance the heroes and the training, the idle area has been taken out since it wasn't useful. Some spells of the heroes are altered or completely changed. ENJOY!

-OLD-

Basically the way to play this game is pretty simple to explain but hard to play, by experience that ive played with new ppl. my friends claim its "newb unfriendly" lol but ill try my best to explain here.

There are four timer sections to choose from by player 1, what these timer sections do is that they determine how long the players train their hero for before the tournament begins. the tournament is played like an battle arena map where you can cast spells to weaken or kill your enemies, each hero has its own special moves and you gain them by lvling up your hero before the tournament starts, you can also slay a hero in the tournament and gain more experience that way. Each player has 2 lives so each match up lasts for 2 rounds, 3 if its tied up.

Now lets get to the training area, once entering the training area you will notice 5 beacons with named buildings aside of them, they will be labeled "Stone Training, Information Stand, Gravity Training, Unit Training, and Idle Players [Enter]", now its as it says.

Stone Training - High armor training facility, if you are a speed hero you most likely will do low damage and can't pierce the armor of the stone enough to level up fast enough which normally wouldn't be a problem if the map itself didn't have a timer but this one does, so wasting even 1 minute is very crucial.

Information Stand - This area tells you what each training area is specified and is made for, if you are in game its good to look at it to understand.

Gravity Training - If you are new to the map this might be the best training area for you to START with, the reason why is because you can get the most effective experience points in the beginning, IE: if you were fighting a firebat for 13500 experience points but it has over 15 armor and 50+ damage as well as 1500 hp but you have 0 experience points and have a weak hero its best to go to gravity and get 1000-1600 experience points per 5-6 seconds and buff up your hero then go back to the firebat like 7 minutes later then you will be faster to killing the firebat. You might ask, why not stay in gravity then if its so hard? as time passes by if your hero becomes strong enough to train in the other areas gravity becomes completely useless and you will notice that you fall behind your fellow players.

How to do the gravity training? - you simply hold position your hero on a beacon and let the traps damage your hero and as time goes by your experience points will raise, usually its safe to run to the small crystal located in the open at 600 life to heal your hero and repeat this process until you think your ready to do another training.

Unit Training - This training area basically is your hero standing on a beacon and depending on which unit you summon you get to fight it for experience points, the strongest unit will give you the most experience points but all the workers like Probe and Drone give the same experience points despite their minor differences in HP and armor. if you want to know what each unit is worth in experience points you can go to the nearby building that tells you how much they give which appears to be a Infested Command Center. Going there not only tells you what experience points they are it also teleports your hero to the closest heal area as a shortcut. (There is a secret in there that you might find interesting but not really a "cheating" secret mwahahhaa).

Is there a way to get stronger besides upgrading your spells and your hero's stats? - Yes, apparently there is. Your hero reaches a break point at level 15 in 45500 experience points exact that you get a stronger form of your hero. Your class remains the same however is a stronger more durable hero and you will find them to have quite advantages than before. IE: first form before reaching level 15, marine hero has no stimpack but gains it after level 15.

Why is your gas constantly raising? What are minerals for? how do you do spells? - You will notice only when you gain levels or experience points is when you gain minerals. You use the minerals to upgrade your hero's damage or armor (damage recommended), your gas constantly goes up because thats your energy count, gas = energy count also counts as spell upgrades for your spells to become more effective, however you will realize everytime you upgrade your spells they will begin to either cost more or take longer to upgrade. Some spells require minerals to upgrade but the ones that do have stronger improvements by upgrades than the gas requirement ones this is because minerals aren't free so they would have to be worth it while gas constantly goes up.

Where do I look for my spell area? How do I know what they do? - On the map you will eventually find a area of it that has a defiler named "Spell Caster" that is owned by you, surrounding 5 beacons, there are eight spell areas and they are located 2 on the far left and on the far right and the last 4 is under the "arena" which is a big terrain in the middle which you cannot miss. Next to the beacons in your spell area you will find powerups labeled "lv5 spell, lv10 spell, lv15 spell, lv20 spell, and finally lv30 spell" these beacons are at first white which means you cannot use them yet. You will have to be at least lvl 5 to use the "lv5 spell" which makes sense is why you need to level up your hero. Realize that each spell section jumps by 5 until you reach lv30, the reason why it is harder is because that spell is your "ultimate" which is a lot stronger and requires more training efforts for it. MOST ultimates requires a large amount of energy consuming and you will run out of energy, it will still come back but it will take a little while for a effective recovery. Everyone should have their own strategy though, just because it is your ultimate doesn't mean you have to use it. If you upgrade lets say your lower spells that cost cheaper to use, overtime it will be just as effective in the long run than your ultimate in most cases, and that is where the strategy comes in that I will be discussing on the next paragraph.

Strategy? - Notice how there are several training areas, some heroes are never mean't to do a specific training and even as I listed above earlier what is best for you to do. If you do your strategy right and train your hero correctly over time, there is indeed a way to gain experience points faster, its all about planning and strategizing. This helps because aside from having skill, even though level isn't everything it is a big advantage against your fellow contestants. If you are a skilled player experience isn't the most important attribute as long as you and your challenger isn't world apart differences.

How do I know what spells to upgrade? - After choosing your hero, you can read your mission objectives and they will have a list of upgrades for you to choose from which to empower, if they tell you that you don't have any spells that can be upgraded, THEY ARE LYING! nah follow what it says you will be lucky to not have anything to upgrade since you can use your gas to help you train for faster levels! However this is also a disadvantage because knowing that you have nothing to upgrade you realize your spells are to a limited of effectiveness. All the buildings are given to your hero after you choose your hero if your neighbor has a ie: engineering bay and you don't have one that most likely means you have nothing to upgrade that requires infantry.

How do I know who I am fighting? - At the top right corner of the map there will be a chart of who your fighting and it is started up by a one on one challenge with two lives on each player.

Why does it say white is a contestant when it clearly is a computer? - To spice things up I've designed a AI bot in which the computer is also a contestant to fight. You will notice that white has a incredible amount of experience points as soon as the timer is chosen, that represents on what level of the AI bot is that your fighting. When choosing the timer there will be difficulty labels next to them and that represents how hard it is to kill the computer or train to a effective break-point. However just because the timer chosen that it tells you something doesn't mean its completely what it says. ie: "32 Minutes (Very Hard)", this 1 is very hard because for the limited time you train you have to fight the AI Bot that has a number of spells that are mostly at a disadvantage for your level, as a total result the Ai Bot is strongest in 42 Minutes (Hard) because of you having that long of a time to train it basically means your hero will "MAX OUT", and at that point your hero is a lot stronger so it would make sense to fight the Ai Bot at full strength but it won't appear to be as hard as 32 Minutes.

How do I know I'm doing good? - For each difficulty timer you've chosen white will have a reasonable experience point that is on the leader board chart, if you want to know that your doing good, the closer your experience point to white is the better it is, sometimes you can even surpass it and that means you are a very good strategizer for training. Above I've used the term "MAX OUT" when you get this message on your hero "MAXED OUT" you get a extra 400 minerals and thus giving you a higher advantage amongst the "NON-MAXED OUT" players. There are a total of 90 levels in training, and at level 90 is when you max out. The total experience point on level 90 is 1844000 experience points If I don't recall and this number of experience points is also White's experience point on 42 Minutes (Hard) knowing that he will be at full strength as well.

Any further questions please contact me on USeast, my active account is "Sasersaki", Thanks for downloading.
Please tell me if any glitches found.

Your really the same guy? Sorry, I've just met someone else with a different name that claimed to be the original creator.

Kyle, you're not a mod.

I made a mistake. I see that it's only required in a map production thread.

Interesting concept, with the limited time to 'train'. Maybe I'll try it out.

@Kyle: Release threads do not require screenshots. I suggest you read what you link to when backseat modding. :ermm:

This topic requires screenshots or else it will be closed.

No it doesn't. Don't backseat moderate when you don't even know the rules.

Edit: Ohshit, someone beat me to it.

Sorry, I read it and misunderstood it, it says and/or screenshots. Sorry :). This thread doesn't require screenshots but it is a good idea to add them but not required.

May I ask what the anti-maphack is for, if most of the map is visible?

the reason why is most ppl who have maphack also has drophack and many other hacks, since i have not yet find out how to do euds to identify drophackers or such i have to put maphack there so as a safety for all its a advantage, its like if u dun hack why worry

GameLoader, if you made this and I want to see if you actually did, how did you create the experience gain system. I want to make sure you made this map.

None.

Aug 23 2008, 6:02 pm GameLoader1337 Post #13

thats pretty simple, just make a trigger under all players that conditions is "always" and actions is leader board points custom, and for units and buildings ive used subtract the "kills" points for units and added custom to it same for building but with "razings and kills" if i dun recall

Aug 23 2008, 6:46 pm KyleIs1337 Post #14

And how did you create the idle system than? How did you change the experience points without killing.

None.

Aug 23 2008, 6:48 pm GameLoader1337 Post #15

lol because naturally if u just add by custom u wouldn't need any subtractions from it by any other points

Ok, so you use a much easier system that's more easier. I thought you used dc timers or something of that sense. Nevermind then.

No that's not what I thought...., what I thought was you used death count timers which are more complex.
