My friend recently bought the game BioShock, after a long eager wait, for the Xbox 360. Today I brought it amongst myself to play it. It is purely awesome. I couldn't put it down, it was like playing Half-Life 2 all over again, but instead of the Gravity Gun it was telekinesis. Maybe the eerie feeling it had on me was that of the same to the game F.E.A.R. Overall, I would like to say clearly it was similar to the game Condemned: Criminal Origins. The story is a tad complex but basically you're trying to get out of Rapture, an underwater city in the Atlantic Ocean. You can "harvest" or "rescue" Little Sisters for their ADAMs which helps you out through the game. These Little Sisters are usually protected by "men" in giant metal diving gear called Big Daddies. Though the Big Daddies never seem to attack you on their own unless "provoked" the Little Sisters tend to fear you at times and scream causing the Big Daddies to attack. This is were I've had fun the most. I kill the Big Daddies and then use the Little Sisters for their ADAM. Once you've killed all the Little Sisters in an area the Big Daddies have nothing to do. This is when I go Big Daddy Hunting. Big Daddies seem to respawn all the time, and since they don't die easy it's fun to make a jack arse of yourself attacking them for no reason. Beyond that, I haven't got all that far. The story picks up as you find tape recorders thoughout the game. The game also takes place in the 1960s. That's as much as I paid attention to. Other than Andrew Ryan killed all the trees in Rapture which produced the air. I guess more will unfold as I constantly go to my friend's house to play the game. How can you kill Big Daddies without Sisters? I feel so bad for them, walking around and banging on vents hopefully, only to slump away disappointed... The atmosphere is very unique and compelling too. It's fun to just stalk characters and listen to what they're saying. I've been rescuing all the Little Sisters. Aw, man, you have no idea. I killed a Big Daddy as he stood in water and I electoructed him. And earlier I killed one with the wrench! I also like smacking them in the back then running two rooms away and hiding, and when they enter the room I jump out at them and smack them again. It's just some fun stuff. I tend to stack them in piles. However they start disappearing. (Top Big Daddy pile: 6) I also just sit there and let Splicers attack the Big Daddies at times. They put on quite the show.

[color=#00ffbf]I've been meaning to try this game for Windows, I haven't gotten around to doing so because of school and such. By the sounds of it, it's awesome. [/color]

I bought the game not really interested in it before hand but after the 10s all over the place figured might as well. Complete disappointment. It's a cool world they submerge you into and the story is interesting but the gameplay is boring and not what the hype made it out to be. It's an average game with a great atmosphere. Nothing award winning.
