Dropmod was a small mod made by me and Excalibur for the SMMM. It focuses on ground units only. The only air unit you get is... You guessed it! A dropship!

You get a decent ammount of units to play with though.
Units:
Worker Drone - Take a guess, fool.
Militia - Basic infantry. Shoots stuff. Has a grenade ability
Rocket Trooper - Heavy infantry. Shoots stuff with rockets
Medium Militia - Medium infantry. Shoots stuff really fast. It can also use its sniper rifle, which shoots stuff at long range.
Plaugerat - Its basically the firebat, but it looks sexier. A LOT sexier.
Mechanized Infantry Unit - A really nifty adaption of the goliath. Its pretty powerful too.
Heavy Shock Trooper - Has a steady diet of infants. He also has a really big lazer. And a hella lot of HP.
Medic - Honestly, is this thing EVER modified? We didn't change that trend.

Vehicles:
Warhawk - A light hovercraft with a machine gun.
Reaver Tank - Has a minigun mounted on the top. Its pretty powerful.
Transport - Picks 'em up, sets 'em down.

Here's a pic of everything:


Spider thing is the worker drone. (lol MOH ported unit)
The dark ghost is the milita.
Kerrigan is medium milita
The goliath thing is the Mechanized Infantry
The Zeus is the Rocket Trooper
Tank is the Reaver Tank
Dark Firebat is the Plagerat
The hovering unit is the Warhawk
Medic is the... well, the medic
And the hell marine is the Heavy Shock Trooper

Its Terran only, and there is no AI. Yet.

====Dropmod 1.1 has been released!

Changes:
Nerf on Heavy Shocks but also reduced price
Plaugerats have reduced cost and buildtime
Added Bloody Murder, a mechanical unit that dominates all infantry. Be warned: Theyre much more expensive and supply consuming than Heavies were.
Added Orion Scout, basically an observer.
Barracks build time slightly reduced.

Heavy shock trooper is overpowered, reminds me of Heavy Infantry in SCFC. Make it cost more supply and halve it's damage and cooldown (so it deals the same amount of damage over time, but is affected more by armor).

Heavy Shocktrooper costs a ton though. And thus, is better alongside massive armies of basic troopers. Having medium infantry with sniping ability helps a great deal in taking out HSTroopers. As far as I am concerned, they're fine. Because they cost as much as an ultra (25 mineral and 25 gas more )

Eh, do project threads EVER get updated much?

We're at Dropmod 1.4, right?

(BTW: Island maps and this mod mixes like epicness. And yes, I WILL land all six of my dropships in TEH MIDDLE OF UR BASE; ALL UR BASE ARE BELONG TO US.)

The only problem I have with this is slow gameplay; still, faster gameplay is just my preference.
I think the dropships should have like, an extra armour upgrade or something, or be more tougher in general. Just slightly...

Damn! Dinner kept me from playing a game with you guys @ modnight 100. When I returned, LDude, Ex, and Farty were pretty much done for the night. Oh well. I checked out the mod in Single player tho and liked what I saw.

ya first topics should be updated with the latest version I agree. But rule #1 modders are lazy. Imagine if you asked them to fix a hotkey conflict such as set <r>ally point and wo<r>ker? :)

You'd have to ask Polaris, who doesn't really mod anymore, so I'd say no. If Baja wanted to do some AI for it then sure, but I don't think me or Pol will be doing it.
