The whole zerg life colony is a really neat concept. i always like to add onto it. You have a larvae, which is capable of rapidly transforming into another creature through a metamorphisis type of method. That would take alot of energy... how does it work? I realize that its fiction, but its science fiction. Does the swarm consume an alien life form when they fall apon it, then keep it's dna in a hatchery.. then inject zygotes of the certain life form into larvae? I prefer this idea... the larvae is created by a hatchery, and it is injected with the zygote cells of the life forms of the swarm, then when given a certain stimulus of some kind... however the overmind commands what it does, a certain cell within the larvae is chosen to grow within the larvae, and become a drone, or mutalisk for the swarm. i dont know.. i like thinking about it. feel free to comment... i dont think this post had much of a purpouse. lol.

I hate to say RTFM, but if you dig up your manual for Vanilla StarCraft, it's explained there.
It's probably on Blizzard's site somewhere, too.

wut id like to know is how they eat? or do they need to even eat? btw broken wiki D:!
None.
The Zerg eat the creep for nutrition. Dead Zerg, and lifeforms are liquified to form a high complex 'creep'.
None.
Does that mean the Zerg are Cannibals?
None.
Lol.. in the matrix humans were in Exothermic Extraction pods, because the robots were harvesting their heat right? but they were suspended in goo... and the goo was dead people!! omg!! (very finely ground at that!)

The Zerg consume creep, although it is noted that only the Larva do this.
Larva use data from the Hive Cluster's organs to mutate. These organs being "Tech Tree" buildings.
The evolved form is released from it's egg and is ready to serve the Swarm.
PS. Overmind; buddy, it died.

Excuse me for not playing the campeign all the way through >.>

The thing that bugged me about the Matrix is... okay, they feed people the liquified dead. How can that be maintained? You can't have positive population growth because the energy has to come from what you already have. You cannot maintain the same population, either, as the source of energy is limited and constantly expended as growth and heat.
And, speaking of the robots, being that they are machines, couldn't they, like, just fire themselves out of a cannon onto the moon? Plenty of solar energy there. Heck, they just need to get into orbit and build themselves a nice zero-g society. Yeah, there's that whole Operation Dark Storm which probably kills electronics, but that's where shieldings and insulation comes into play.
i thought project dark storm was stupid, wasnt it to stop the robot armys from using solar enargy? ...practicly all life uses it so were they hoping for like everything to die and start again? w/e
so like how does kerrigan control the swarm without cerebrates? thats like alot of zerg mane... i mean i guess with overlords and queens maybe.
None.
There is Kerrigan, a few Loyal Cerebrates, and a shitload of Overlords.
None.

And another thing, weren't the people in the matrix kinda freaked out when people turned into agents?
And if true 'people' travel through the matrix by phones, why don't they just delete 'phones' from the matrix?
Im a Matrixist (Kinda like a jedi, but not a jedi) so I should know this stuff
And did the Overlords really control anything?
None.
Sleeping wolves wake hungry.
And if true 'people' travel through the matrix by phones, why don't they just delete 'phones' from the matrix?
Because it's not only the people that use them. Also, probably because the sudden disappearance of telephones would cause everyone connected to the matrix to reject the program, which is what happened when they were presented with the 'perfect world' matrix; first version, i believe.
On topic: I think overlords serve as an 'antennae' system for cerebrates and kerrigan, so they can broadcast commands on a higher lever. Something along those lines.
All they needed to do was get better cell phones.
I figured that the overlords convert commands from queens and cerebrates to more direct commands for individual units. Perhaps they also make small decisions, such as what exactly to do with an "attack to" command.

Yeah, I always assumed they acted as sort of a relay point. Cerebrates would send messages to overlords, and they would relay the message to the swarm.
It's like our nervous system. :\
None.
What happens when there body rejects the matrix?
I feel asleep during 'revolution'

Watch the first movie again. It's right there.
Are you sure? They talked about the Matrix 1.0 in the second one, i thought they would talk about rejection there. And i dont wanna pay money to see it again, when someone could just tell me
And so if the overmind dies, can cerebrates take over?
None.
well yea if u beat the campaign u would know the daggoth got with other cerebrates after the over mind died and made the new overmind
None.
