I had an idea last night..and it goes a little something like this... As everyone who plays mafia notices, (And other parts of the forum like MAPS IN PRODUTION ;O) there seams to be strange lapses of inactivity. I hereby propose an idea that might fix that (Well, for greedy people, itll suck completely if you have minerals disabled) A Happy hour system (Or two hours) where every post is worth double minerals. Again, greedy people will love it ;P But just an idea. And you could add at a .05% chance of finding an item after posting. If you feel this is stupid, just ignore it. xD

I don't really like this idea. My first concern is the obvious -- spam and useless posts will spike during this time period. The second concern is that activity that would normally be spread out will be condensed into this time period. As in, there will be a dead zone gap in posting immediately proceeding such a time. People will deliberately hold back their posting until this time. My third concern is that it's unfair to people who are unable to come online to post at that time. In addition to people who are just too busy to show up or have other commitments, it might occur at hours that happen to be extremely inconvenient for people living in varying time zones,

I have the solution: Instead of this insane idea make them randomly go after ANY post at ANY time to a secret minigame where they can earn minerals this could apply to any single forum. Maybe something like a graffiti old school Atari game where letters fall down and they must press the key for that letter and when they get 10 letters without one falling they get one mineral, of course letters would come down REALLY fast so no one gets minerals :P And if two people post at the time minute make them go to a super duper extreme tic tac toe minigame where the winner takes all of the minerals the opponent has. Even if it has negative minerals they'd be deducted from is current mineral count so the game that way would not be simple tic tac toe but EXTREME tic tac toe because you'll have to try to lose on purpose to not lose minerals and the other one would try to win to win yours. Yeah, I still like the idea though, although he's right about time zones, maybe a happy day once a month? And I liked the x2 for games, something like that.

The timezone problem could be solved with having the two hours at, let's say 14:00 - 16:00, for the users chosen timezone. The timezone would then off-course just be changeable once a week or something so people can't abbuse the system that way :P However I don't think the idea is very good because, as the posters above me say, it would cause more spam.

Why would you ever need to change timezones?

Or the hour(s) could be at random times each day. That way, people have an equal chance despite time zones. And for the crazt people, they'll be here wait for it in anticipation, thus increasing activity! Bad idea.

Heres another silly idea. Post a working map that has potential on SEN with sens name as one of the forces or "Special thanks" in the map, and recieve 50 minerals, since we arent having mapping contests anymore :fear:
