Get some minerals to upgrade avatar size then. ;) That's the whole point of the system. If you don't want to gain the minerals then turn them off and you'll get like a 25kb avatar. Whatev.

I have a 35 kb avatar :) It's not really expensive, especially with store prices glitching up.

There isn't any need for a higher avatar limit. Any 125x125 picture shouldn't be higher than 15KB, and if compression is needed, compress it. It shouldn't screw the quality up that bad.

Animated avatars are annoying, so they cost more.

The dancing girl isn't flashy though. She's a pretty calm animated avatar. Everyone stole her from me for a while at v4 >:-0

This is good. My avatar is only like 3.2kb, and most small decently compressed images are less than 10kb. But yeah, if you need a larger image, buy one. Though the sanity restriction on v4 was something more reasonable.. 100kb, I think.

Its more than enough to get a very important point across which applies to this topic. Why exactly does anyone need an avatar with stupid blinking shit?

Impersonation
A subjective term. Similarities in name is a good starting point (ie Moose vs Mo0se or Moos3 or Moose_). Having the same avatar, title, and signature image can make you hard to distinguish from someone else. General rule; if effort is required to figure out who you are, or you're frequently confused for another member, it is not allowed.

:D

Sorry Yoshi, were going to have to ban you for having the same Avatar as NerdyTerdy... [/JustKidding]

Actually, I put it as my avatar first. It is Nerdy who is impersonating me.
