i had the same error, delete SCMDraft and reinstall. Of course it did this for all my maps, so you might not have the same problem.

Ladies and gentlemen of SEN it is with great joy and relief that I am able to announce to you that the first private beta test of RE: Raccoon City 2 took place just a few hours ago. The map you see in the topic is not at all what the map has turned out to be in it's current form, and I will now explain.

For awhile, I've been making the 1.xx series to gain ideas for RE:RC2. This went from version 1.10, up to 1.43. At 1.43 I felt enough of the map had been changed and modified, that it was time to switch over into full 2.0 after blanking the map, resizing it to 192x192, and re-terraining it. That was done, and I am currently working on a version that our testers will get to play first hand.

To be done:
Finish some of the new missions and places.
Take up some of the enlarged map's space with even more new missions. (We are running out of locations though. =/ )
Balance. (The most important IMO.)

The map looks great and I'll be posting a screen shot of it soon, but I need to do some final touches and doodading. When it is ready, I hope you all like it. Expect to see the map within the next couple of days / this week.

FFFFFFS.

This map is permanently set on god-like difficulty. Usually the strategy in the original was to upgrade you attack to 15-20 with rines+med/all ghosts and them whore D up to like 50 so that the crimsons and goons don't hurt you(and you'd be able to stim enough or with the ghost range to own Mr.x's). It would take around...maybe 20 min into the game to get those kinda stats? maybe less. I died at 50 min while getting attacked by crimsons that do 100, ultras that do 65, and mr.x's that do around 70 i think it was?

Even with the 50 def bunkers that get instant heal (seems kinda rigged against all except mr.x, and the hunter killer units) it's really difficult. But hey i played it by myself so I'm not sure if that made much a difference (since you still share the kills/money right?).

Random glitch or bug but when i went to the subway and go the mission to protect the subway from the new spawn point, seems to freeze the unit when u try to leave. The rine I sent was permanently frozen.

Even though this game is hard, tbh i loved it. The colorful text was nice eye candy. The fact that i died at 50 mins with enemy's that can almost one hit me makes me wanna try it again with a fh and see what other infected creatures you added. Only thing that slightly (ever so slightly) disappoints me is that it really feels exactly the same as the original mission wise(The same truck played by the reaver is still their).

Also, cocks would it be alright if i hosted that beta in priv with my freinds??

Due to a problem we cannot solve (Me and Darkling looked through every last trigger.) the release is on hold, perhaps indefinitely. Some sort of error is causing a warp location to constantly fire and backfire and no matter how many times I redo the trigger and location it refuses to function properly.

JaFF, if I thought it was something so simple, I'd have no problem with that.
I've deleted the triggers, the location, made a new location, renamed it something different, and made a trigger that is simply:
Always
Move all units for force 1 at new loc to new loc 2

And it will not fire correctly. Its isolated to two locations, one which seems plausible that there might be something, and the other that absolutely no other trigger is hooked to.

I never suggested that you couldn't find a simple error. The more people looking, the higher the probability of finding the error. I offer you my help; if you don't think you need/want it, that's fine by me.

I found recently the hard way that when I have too many unit orders triggered at once with hyper triggers on "I think it was Dynamic" It caused a crash similar to an EUD crash on non-eud maps.. -Also when does the map crash?? does it crash after briefing at start of game??? or does it crash when you use a spell???

No-Name-Needed-II shouted: Zoan No idea if anything changed.. I've made several maps that push TMOANC to the limit and they are still working.. 3 causes of it I've narrowed down are -Too many islands which some terrain on certain tilesets can create micro islands on cliff edges with basic isometric.. -Too many changes in elevation from high to mid to low ground.. -And too many tiles from certain doodads that block tank fire..
Any clue as to why a map which would previously work fine on past patches would now suddenly not work on the current remastered patch?
