Hey, thanks! I would love to get out some more concepts or samples from my RPG. Depends on how much spare time I have ;o

Some of it needs to and can be fixed. The high dirt to water cliff can be fixed by using the really skinny cliff since they have a lighter edge.
Here is a tutorial by falkoner, but not all the pictures work. I think you'll get the idea though. http://falkoner.cow.googlepages.com/High_Water_Cliffs.html

Cecil, the bottom-most 2 sprites aren't correctly placed, I suspect them to hide some blockiness ;)
Anyways, your piece is okay :P
It's too fad, add some doodads here and there and it'll look tons better :)

Yeah, they hide blockyness. I can fix it, but only at the expense of the castle's castley edges, so a sprite there makes it looks like a castle while holding the castley edge.

As for the high dirt and cliffs, I don't want them changed. I made everything there like it is a for a reason, and I'm not sure what you think should be changed anyways. If you mean how wide my high dirt is, well, it's supposed to be walkable in game.

I really love your ice-work, but your twilight is here and there very blocky  . Great work nontheless.

Yes, on the right side over the cliff-doodad (marked at the picture below) there is that "statue-sprite" missing.
Also, I found something very blocky, shame on you, marked on picture :bleh: :bleh:

Well also that island is very nice, good job.

Just here for the pie

The recent activity burst in the hall of fame has inspired me to make something in Badlands (which was going to be in my map anyway :P).

In picture 1, bottom left, and also in the top right, the temple to dirt blend using the back of a water temple wall doodad, those are pretty good looking! Definitely the best part of your pictures in that last post :P

As for the water bridge walkways, you need to add a corner to water blend. Just use the edge of natural dirt cliff ending into water, copy and paste it to the edge of your bridge to water corners.

[Edit] Sort of like what I did here: http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr11/Cecil_Sunkure/CastleIsland.jpg

Only issue with the bridges is the repetitive use of those same two tiles, however, they do look good :)

Well i'll like to to have some of it... i'm thinking of cutting some title of with dirt so i can have less of it.

Got some more from my archives ready to post

Polluted Lake

Polluted River

Grassy Tree

Grand Tree

Tree V3

2Headed Serpent

btw i want you to rename the tree i had before "Old Tree"
and grassy was another one i made about an hour ago (took 20 mins)

Edit: for the bridge terrain i swear that you were going to like the one with open space w/e ;(
Edit: to cut down on sprites for the grassy tree i put ruins where the trunk in the trees should be and jungle for the rest of non trunk tree areas so that you don't see the dirt and imagine it as a spirte :D

tbf you didn't say that you dig the nostalgia. The way you worded it, it sounded like a complaint or condescending. And in that case you deserved a sarcastic response. :P Anyways, sounds like a miscommunication so there's not really a point to get worked up about it.
