Why does Runescape suck? Well, not only is it not fun to look at, but it doesn't really offer anything exciting to the whole MMO table. In fact, I wouldn't really count it as an MMO. I don't even know what to classify it as - it's just such a cheap knock off of... well to be honest, I don't even know what it's trying to knock off because it doesn't seem to do anything right. Yeah, it's free, but there are other free MMOs out there with actual game clients, and some of them don't suck too much. If I were you, I'd save up my weekly allowance for a few weeks (or rob a few people at gunpoint) and go pick up Guild Wars if money is tight. If you have some money to spare, then get your dead man's grip off of it and toss some away at a good MMO like Lord of the Rings Online, Age of Conan, or gods forbid, WoW.

I like the more mature communities generally found in MMOs with subscription fees. Sure, there are still lots of kids, but there are lots of mature guilds and kinships out there.

I don't have a weekly allowance. I know, it sucks. I play it... cause I got nothing better to do really. (Although, with some new mapping idea's I've got, I've been pretty busy...) I used to play and got to level 65 then I quit for Diablo / Diablo II. I recently picked it up again and play almost daily. For those who are saying the graphics suck, the game was fun in 2 dimensions more so then 3 dimensions, and now, they're improving the graphics HUGELY for the 3d version, and aside from the characters (as what they've shown so far) it doesn't look bad at all! The game has a LOT to offer. Sure the pvp / battle system are lacking, however it is a large world, and it does have a huge variety in things you can do. For those who are willing to pay money for games, Runescape membership makes the gaming experience tremendously better. More quests, more monsters, more items, more skills, more attributes, more land, more features, more music. And at 5 dollars a month, it is 3x cheaper to play then World of Warcraft, Eve Online? Age of Conan. However, it doesn't compare to these games in gamestyle or quality, it surely does have an authentic taste to it, with a budget all can afford

BUT NOOO, Theres no action in runescape, just people spamming in Varrock.

I got 25k in a few hours of play, it's not a big deal. Game is fun. Guild Wars you pay for the CD but is completely free online play and I can guarantee it is better then 2moons, and for a relatively fair price.

Private servers rock. GunZ at ijji.com FAILS, yet Deamons Ring GunZ (Google it) has no lag...lets think for a second. And its about 500 north americans playing it rather than the entire world.
