Who plays Runescape?
I'll admit it, I do. It's not that bad though. Why do so many people call it stupid/immature etc...?

No, I don't play it. But most of my friends do. Anyway, I wonder why people do actually hate it. Even though I don't play it, it sometimes looks fun. Unfortunatley for me, I have a job, so time to play it is near-to-none.

... And it gets boring after about 59 levels.

Why does Runescape suck? Well, not only is it not fun to look at, but it doesn't really offer anything exciting to the whole MMO table. In fact, I wouldn't really count it as an MMO. I don't even know what to classify it as - it's just such a cheap knock off of... well to be honest, I don't even know what it's trying to knock off because it doesn't seem to do anything right. Yeah, it's free, but there are other free MMOs out there with actual game clients, and some of them don't suck too much. If I were you, I'd save up my weekly allowance for a few weeks (or rob a few people at gunpoint) and go pick up Guild Wars if money is tight. If you have some money to spare, then get your dead man's grip off of it and toss some away at a good MMO like Lord of the Rings Online, Age of Conan, or gods forbid, WoW.

I reccomend 2Moons over any of these, because it's free and has the quality of a professional game.

I like the more mature communities generally found in MMOs with subscription fees. Sure, there are still lots of kids, but there are lots of mature guilds and kinships out there.

I think its funny when the little kids report you because you don't give them money. Its good to have a mix in games of mature and immature, to balance it out.

They tend to try to duel me...it's a pretty sad sight.

I used to be really into RS cheating, but it has just gone downhill so I left.
And by cheating, I meant I was programming some Java shit.

I don't have a weekly allowance. I know, it sucks.
I play it... cause I got nothing better to do really. (Although, with some new mapping idea's I've got, I've been pretty busy...)

Also, if I played any of those nicer games, my computer would shatter into several million pieces. It's a horrible old beast...

I used to play and got to level 65 then I quit for Diablo / Diablo II. I recently picked it up again and play almost daily.

For those who are saying the graphics suck, the game was fun in 2 dimensions more so then 3 dimensions, and now, they're improving the graphics HUGELY for the 3d version, and aside from the characters (as what they've shown so far) it doesn't look bad at all!

The game has a LOT to offer. Sure the pvp / battle system are lacking, however it is a large world, and it does have a huge variety in things you can do. For those who are willing to pay money for games, Runescape membership makes the gaming experience tremendously better. More quests, more monsters, more items, more skills, more attributes, more land, more features, more music. And at 5 dollars a month, it is 3x cheaper to play then World of Warcraft, Eve Online? Age of Conan. However, it doesn't compare to these games in gamestyle or quality, it surely does have an authentic taste to it, with a budget all can afford

You can't say anything about WoW's cost to someone that can't pay for it. Sure I hate WoW with a passion but there are some nice little things that are called 'Private Servers' for WoW... Anything is better than RuneScape my friend...

People hate runescape because, its a chore.

Think about it, you walk to the mine, you mine, you fight off people trying to get yer gold, you fight off guardians, you walk to an oven, you refine ore, you go to an anvil, you make armor and weapons, you NPC then, rinse repeat.

HOW IS THAT FUN? Unless there was actually a group of pirates waiting to ambush you on the way to the oven, and you had to use stealth, (Not to mention if you could actually PVP), and maybe a party to pass em. BUT NOOO, Theres no action in runescape, just people spamming in Varrock.

I got mangled yesterday and lost 14k, but i don't really care lol, i had fun making the money, and didn't need it much right now...

You lost money? Good... That is a sure sign to quit while you can... Take my advise and try something a lot better. I'm not going to promote 2Moons again, but it is simply the best MMORPG out there that is free. The next step would be going into private servers and no one likes those...

o gross u can get robbed for all ur loot? ....shocko gimme ur coordinates or w/e they use to locate ppl on that game and ill get like 40 of my freinds to make an account to do a 40 lvl 1's vs u.

I got 25k in a few hours of play, it's not a big deal.
Game is fun.
Guild Wars you pay for the CD but is completely free online play and I can guarantee it is better then 2moons, and for a relatively fair price.

Private servers rock. GunZ at ijji.com FAILS, yet Deamons Ring GunZ (Google it) has no lag...lets think for a second. And its about 500 north americans playing it rather than the entire world.
