This is the case: The only computer that my brother owns is as well the computer that we all share in the house. I must share it with my two brothers, so my time is so split up to do so many things I'd like to do, like finishing the installed games in my PC, modding, modeling, slacking off, listening to music, playing GBA games, play old games, it seems impossible.

I was wondering if any of you knew about Flash Cartridges (I don't know if that is the appropiate name for those things), which are similar to memories that have the same size of an actual GBA game, but that instead of having one of those, they have a certain memory size that may vary from 128Mb to 1Gb (as longa s they are comercial) and, well, since it isn't not even nearly playing the game in an emulator than in the real console, I wanted to get one of those, but I have many doubts...

1- How do you insert games in them?
2- I have understood that there many ways to insert games in them, if so, what other ways are there and which is the most convenient one?
3- How much expensive are these?
4- Do you have any links to on-line stores that offer a nice price?
5- Can saved files be moved to the computer, so that if you insert another game in a flash cartridge you can resume them by re-inserting the game and the save files back? (e.g., if I had a 256Mb memory and I have to 128Mb games in it, I take one of them, can I take the save files too?

It's not me trying to be a cheapskate by not buying the games, but there are MANY games I'd like to play and the country I live in (El Salvador) is a quite poor country, so I don't have much money until I really save it and these things don't even exist here (reason why need to find one online).

The thing is the money, my friend. I mean, as long as it has USB adapter, it doesn't matter if it is 128Mb (that is, if I can take the savefiles out, otherwise...).

1. I believe you insert an SD card into your computer, copy emulators and roms to it, take it out, and put it in the GBA flash cartridge. I don't own one though.
2. I think the most convient is USB or miniSD.
3. They are mucho expensive, check some prices here.
4. Places such as realhotstuff.com sell them. I think.
5. It MIGHT be possible, you should read up on them more.

If I have to insert a minSD card this jsut get easier I found somewhere to buy them, and they sell them with USB cables.

Well, the miniSD may only be for the DS flash carts, so I dunno...

New ones seem to be able to use SD, but most of them connect through USB.

$130 is actually a price I'd pay for such thing. 130 for haveing basically unlimited games that of course taking apart the size limit but you can always finish one game and replace it with other one.

Some DS ones go for around $40-60. They're the best ones, and they are awesome.

You can get a DS and that for ~$200. There's a more expensive card which includes a GBA card that allows you to dl and play GBA games on the nintendo DS.

Personally I recommend a DS, CycloDS, and a ezflash 3-in-1. With that combo (about 250 canadian with a 4gb microsdhc) you can play all ds games, all gba games, run gb and gbc emulators, rumble, extra ram (for homebrew, web browser) nes emulator, snes emulator, all homebrew, mp3 player, and movie player. CycloDS is amazing, I have one. I don't have an ez-flash 3 in 1 yet (the thing that allows extra ram and GBA games) but all the people on the Cyclo forum recommend them to go along with this device, as it is the perfect slot-2 secondary card to accompany the cyclo.

Someone is getting me the cartridge micro SD with US port in the a black market for now and since I already have a GBA SP I just need to get a bigger SD memory. But with 512Mb would be enough
