I had an idea for the reform of certain purchasable items in the store. These reforms, if implemented, would apply to both mineral users and mineral-disabled users.
Effects of Implementation 1. Removal from the Store, of the Signature Enabler and Title Enabler. What is to be done with things such as upgrades is not determined. Assume they will stay as is and just the enablers will be removed. 2. Enforce the following requirements for: Avatar -Always available. Signature -Must have been a registered user for 10 days. -Must have made at least 10 posts. User Title -Must have been a registered user for 100 days. -Must have made at least 100 posts. Debate it here, but please vote in the Polling Booth as well. This post was edited 2 times, last edit by Mini Moose 2707: May 24 2008, 7:05 pm.

There is a number, six letters it contains. Take one away, and twelve is what remains. Previous Winner: Vi3t-X. Mafia Information: To avoid controversy, my previous Avatar was Rikku, and my previous siggy was two links, one to a rickroll video, and the other to Hikari's theme song. |

Either case would get banned anyway.

Back when I was running Maplantis one of the criticisms I got from certain SENers was that I was encouraging too much elitism in the community. Now that much worse things are happening at SEN it seems like everybodies fine with it and no objections. The message I'm getting is "Elitism is really bad, but only when it happens to websites I selectively disapprove of".

When you weigh the two against each other, what harm could people do with having a signature, avatar, or user title? Maybe put something annoying or offensive, but they have posting abilities upon registration, and those things will require them to post anyway for people to see it. With posts you can put anything you want as well. So we're not putting in these restrictions because they're destructive.
The only reason I see is that it's to entice people to stay more and post more, with disregard to the users content, contributions, or intelligence. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Taking StarCraft Map Making to the Limit!

Yeah, I see no reason to put a limit on the avatar and signatures and such, I just think you might want to clear out inactive members who have never posted ever or even come online in a long time. I think the issue he has is memory, but I don't think it will be a problem, it never was before... I just want mah money back...

I paid eleven minerals for THIS?

I've said this from the beginning.. I actually don't mind elitism, per se, but stopping new members from getting something like a signature or an avatar is just plain stupid. They should not be considered 'perks' to be earned. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "Three can keep a secret, if two are dead." -Benjamin Franklin
