None.
http://www.staredit.net/maplantis/storage/files/Retro_GRP.zipThere are other, better ones, however. I prefer SFGrpConv myself, but it's a personal preference.
Real men use Retro GRP.

No.
ShadowFlare's GRP converter is a lot more convenient and simple. It also doesn't have any RLE compression crap.

Neither does retro
I never needed RLE compression on anything.
The only time I use SFGRPConverter is when I need to recolor a whole GRP.

This.
I have no idea why I didn't include Retro GRP in my package.
Oh ya, I didn't have it

Retrogrp distorts images. Don't use it.
Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.

Never had that problem. If it does, it is almost unnoticeable.

It happens with specific types of images. For example - The DyiithJhinn Hellgate could not be compiled as it was in retrogrp because of the fine circular lines that caused HUGE defects and actually managed to crash starcraft. I had to blur the frames in photoshop to get it to compile (which is why it looks like shit in HK). SF's grp converter doesn't do this.
I also ran into this same problem when I was working on the Bane graphic. Consecutive compiles resulted in the player colors at the hand growing major defects that became progressively worse until there was huge lines everywhere. I re-created the frames and ran them through SF's grp compiler; no such problem ever again.
It's rare, but it can happen.

Actually yeah, I think I know what you are talking about. I remember seeing some odd lines on several GRP's in the old Maplantis Database.
