Well Yoshi told sunslap to make a topic to give suggestions and so I wanted to make one myself :D.
I have a few suggestion to make everyone feel back at home here.
I will also explain why to.

1.Make or use the mapdldb like in maplantis.org.Why because it is just perfect and gives you any info you need.

2.I am not agaisnt your rules here but,can you atleast mod the rules to let open source mapping come into play? Why because pen source mapping isnt
map stealing its editing and learning.Aswell as its how alot of us learnt how to map :(.

3.Can we add a active member list at the bottom of the forum page like back in the day rofl.Simple reason because it shows you who is here :P.

4.I am sure you are working on this but add the clan forums. So clans can have a forum here and cause the clan chaos rofl.

We live in a society.

@#2: Where do, or have the rules ever forbid Open Source Mapping by the author's choosing?

"You are allowed to submit maps you have created with any protection or lack thereof that you as the author choose."

@#3: http://www.staredit.net/?p=members
Apply sort to list by most recently online members first.

Hey Moose, does SeN now allow you to post links of OS map?

1. I agree with this, just make it so we can post our own description, instead of taking it off the map description

#4 You clans can wait, I would much rather have every tiny possible detail done than have IP waste his time setting up clan forums.

None.

Finally, a suggestion topic.

1) "Add Comment", add's a comment to any post. Add "Hahaha" or "good one", or "I completely agree with you.". Just commenting on posts, gets rid of lots of spam. Shouldn't be that hard. Just add a horizontal rule after the post then display the user name's and comments under there. Or will this be implented in the "karma" thing? You give someone karma on a post, and it will add a comment to the post if you want. ?? I think it should work for cleaning up a lot of spam. Moderators don't have to be strict on this, because it will only take up 1 line of room, and it won't count towards a post count. The only thing would be watching out for innapropriateness in the comments.

2) "User Walls", a sort of shout box that goes into peoples profiles, maybe a store item because it may take up a little bit of room. So people can just chat publicly to eachother and not as a personal message. And they will be able to get that message whenever they check their profile easily. Have option for who is allowed to view it. As groups, or selected members. May be a little hard to moderate, so I don't know if it will work out or not.

No. I've said this a bunch of times, I support OSMAP as a concept, but not the program. If a map is open source, it shall be open source by the creator's choice.

I had this wicked concept of something along the lines of this, although I don't remember exactly what it was. It could have been sexy if done right, it basically combined linear threads with multi threading... But in the end, I thought it would be just too complicated to have people choose between posting to a thread and posting to a post.

There's lots of crap in the profiles that have been disabled. There's a total of like 6 or 7 different tabs... a journal, a personal space thingy, friendship board with something like a comment board, dldb/starcraft tab...
I don't know what will actually go live. This was when v5 first started and I was going crazy with extra features / trying new ideas out.

Clans are a priority.

There used to be, like every other board in existence. It was killed to reduce clutter and "who's on this page" needs a serious update.

OSMAP compression owns. It also fixes f'd up maps. I like the source too, it lets you extract things :D

When there is a compressor that isn't multifunctional and does not ignore protection, I'll be more than happy to host it. :P

That would just cause everything to be messy and unsorted. It's not an important component to have.

I believe that he meant using OS map, so when you, Moose, said this:

I said this:

I meant it to be a rhetorical question, but I guess it doesn't really sound that way..

Someone has spent too long on Facebook :P Probably a good idea, if not an important addition though :}

OS Mapping is open source mapping, OS Map forces OS mapping.

Why is everyone so "butthurt" about OSMAP and how it "steals" maps?

You guys do realise that every single map you create, is essentially Blizzards?

The EULA even says so, but words it so its "Law Friendly".........

Anyways, I like those tab ideas Iso, you should use them :D

I hope it works out. It would be really great to clean out many posts. Most of those posts are being made now. Take a look at this topic: http://www.staredit.net/?topic=117 Nobody is helping AT ALL, they are just going all nuts because they don't even know who he is, then it takes 4 posts to explain and ask why he cares. Oh, and speaking of that topic. Is there going to be a forum for "SC .app Building/Support" ? (minus OSMAP) ?

That just needs a moderator to step in, not a coding solution :P

SC General...
I thought I had added the forum.

Although if the app is big enough, it could possibly get it's own hosted forum much like scmdraft and starforge used to have.
