I turned on my computer to be informed of this, "fastest, easiest-to-use web browser in the world."
'B.S?' I thought. Mainly because it is by Apple. Upon further inspection, is turns out to be rather kick ass. It's even got a spell check that's helping me type this. I do like the bookmarking tabs under the address bar too, among many other advances. (OMG It Knows Where I Wanna Go As I Type In The Web Address!) So far the only down side I'm seeing is the words are a tad bold, but that's nothing I can't probably fix in the options. Also, for some reason, the icons in the forums here on SEN aren't colored, but I regress to the awesomeness. What do you guys think of Safari by Apple? Are they up with the times since that latest envelope PC or what? Apple - Safari |

Safari has been around for years. And it's consistently awful on PC, although it's decent on Macs.

The icons are probably not colored because they are marked as read or you have read them all.

No, they were black and white. As if I were not signed in. They're colored now though. I guess it was just a brief thing.

I've been blinded.. by false advertisement! My face has been scorned. It's true, that's where I got it from, an Apple update that usually just has iTunes and Quicktime. To be honest though, it is a tad faster then my Firefox, and a lot faster then my Internet Explorer. I regret nothing!

Consistently? It hasn't been out that long on PC to call it consistently, I believe. But that, I won't get into. What I am curious of is why you make those claims. I've used Safari, and by no means do I think it's the best, but calling it awful is an exageration, I think. But let's hear what you have to say.. |

I only actually used the previous to current version, and it failed to render Maplantis and Google properly. Also it crashed 9/10 times I used it. |

k firefox does that for me too.
I have used Safari previously and I had no trouble rendering Google, so I'm not sure where you're coming off there. User-end problem, it sounds like. |

As a Firefox fan, FX > Safari. However, Safari was* undoubtedly better then IE.
Now, is no one going to discuss how it's illegal to run Safari on a Microsoft product? *Next IE version may adhere to standards better then FX. |

You really should try to be more aware of browsers and such. Were you using IE 6 before? I'd go with Firefox, especially once the third one comes out.
It's not that Safari is particularly good, it's just that Internet Explorer is particularly bad. Also, I disagree with Apple's practice of forcing Safari on people who are too lazy (or ignorant) to know that they're getting it. |
