I wuz thinking we could have a Map Distributors team, like you join at SEN, and you dl maps ppl finish, who SEN think are worth it, and spend a few minutes each time on BNet to create games, then leave em at the mish briefing. Its a quick way to get maps out there, and would be very useful for people who cant create games themselves due to lag, yet have good maps.
Just a noobs thoughts on a mateer.

People generally distribute their own maps over battle.net, and many opf the maps released on SEN are not geared towards Battle.net plays, but much more towards singleplayer, or a good hour or so with a couple of mates.
The idea is not without it's merits however. It's a good idea, but remember, everyone already does this themselves, usually for open playtest over Battle.net.

I think that the idea is completely awful. People should really not have that much time to just waste and rot away hosting maps so other people can play, I think that's up to the author to do so people can get a feel for it, and if the people like it, they will generally host it, wasting your time hosting the map for say a month just means that you made a map that the public doesn't like and you're being desperate to get in. But just like moose said, if you want to do this, nobody is stopping you.

But my point is some people cant host games, cos of slow connections. You know all those 6bar red games on BNet?those are people with slow connections, and noone can join em.So the map stays where it is, except for a few who dl it off sites like this.

Or you can ask your friends to host it for you, and you join with them.

It's not so much a bad idea as a very boring position and in most cases unneeded. While games like Uberena and a lot of others (Tron, for instance - I love that!) should be more widespread, its up to the creator to either spread it or get a friend to spread it. Anyway, it's not like people really look that hard for great maps. You don't get someone waltzing in here and asking us 'What are some of the best maps you guys play at Map Night'? I think most of the games that are currently popular amount SENners won't be that great with the public. Map Night Phantom was a great game (though they stupidly killed me first. I BLAME PAYNE!), but when I tried to play it with pubbies there was not a single chat message.

No, it's almost always because they need to forward port 6112.

Well, in my case, at least, I have a ridiculously slow upload speed (and a ridiculously fast download speed.. look how that turned out!).
