What's better for you and why?

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch
remastered insurrection > retribution > original insurrection.
This isn't an opinion, it's a fact. No need for a poll. The only advantage the original insurrection has over retribution is the story and character development.

None.
Tough question. For me it's really hard to decide...
But I finally think that Retribution is only slightly better than Insurrection. Retribution has better map design, while Insurrection has many empty and annoying 256x256 size maps. The story for Insurrection is way more fun though. Main problem with Retribution is that many of its macro missions are repetitive, the campaign feels monotonous.

Retribution is a snoozefest, whereas Insurrection is entertainingly bad sometimes.

nah, I not mean Insurrection by Vorgozz, only original
Which one had the relatively small map, where you lead few protoss heroes, rescue a terran base - and you are constantly attacked by lots of queens? The map wasnt that difficult, but the idea of your base being very close to a zerg base - which spawned lots and lots of queens that brodlinged the units was quite fun.
That was one of the best campaign maps - because it had a cool idea. (spawn some queens for computer)
I dont remember which campaign it was, also always wondered if someone remade this to a "proper" map that would be more difficult.

That was the 3rd mission of the Protoss campaign of Insurrection. You must be talking about "Infestation of New Dresdin".

There's a new version of Insurrection called Insurrection Remastered, made by Vorgozz. You may want to check it out. Download it from here:

Thanks, I will check it out.
Although here, the author (?) seems to write that the queens were removed...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kjop2O9H6qYWhat IMHO kills the interesting thing in this map - the bunkers very close to zerg base + queens / ultralisks / guardians.

I didn't know about that. I haven't seen the campaign by myself, honestly. It is frequent to see StarCraft players who dislike Spawn Broodling or are being annoyed by it, so I guess that promted the decision of removing those Queens. For me, those Queens were just fine there.
