Hey, are you still active?

In the Forces, in the 3rd Force it says, "Made by Everywhere (West)"

So I guess the author of this map is Everywhere. And probably from US West.

And I don't know Korean, so I can't help you there.

Strings originating from Korean are heavily corrupted when converted to StarCraft's English character set (or something like that).
It cannot be translated in this state.

Another thing to note - the map mentions the need of "EUD Enabler". This means it was created on v1.16.1 (or earlier). It also means it relies on unrestricted use of EUDs, which virtually guarantees incompatibility with SCR.

Seems like now you can play this map. I have SCR latest version and I went online and hosted this map privately. I was able to host it, start, and play by myself (only for a couple minutes of playing). Works with original SC too. And update patch? Idk.

Because I was able to host this map, I was able to read the Forces in game lobby. Right there it says, "Made by Everywhere (West)".

I wonder why I couldn't figure this out months ago, maybe because, like you said, that time the map was incompatible. Now, it seems like you can play it now. Is this what you mean by, "incompatibility" with SCR? Because I haven't played the map from start to finish, to see if the game crashes or not.

SCR will only allow a portion of the EUDs that could be used within 1.16. Because the map was made in the earlier update there's a chance that it's incompatible with the current version of the game because it may use some of these unsupported EUDs.

Ok that makes more sense now. Thanks! Anyways, I think we settled the "author of this map" thing. Btw I have no idea who "Everywhere" is.

Most of us have multiple versions of SCBW on our computers. This video posted by our invaluable PrOnogo will get you started; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZJfPxHJdno

My 1.16.1 Exe is renamed StarcraftBW and works just fine, and thus does not conflict with SC-R which is also on my computer. Of course you wont be able to use this patch on Battlenet, but you can on ICCUP and it will open a whole universe of Mods to you. I am very new to this myself; but there is a tremendous amount of Material out there for someone with an appetite to explore.

Moose shouted: martosss IIRC, the plan was to go 64-bit only eventually so they're interested in differences between the versions
well I might have found 1 bug for them to fix - some maps load on 32 bit, but not on 64 bit game version

sraw531 shouted: I'm pretty sure you would move the building away at some point. When you do so, you can give it to someone else. I was thinking nexi because its possible you could encourage the computer to expand to a specific spot

martosss shouted: jjf28 OK, I have 1 more question - are you using 32 bit SC:R or 64 bit ? In game settings there's an option to switch to 32, is it checked? I just tried hosting the map with 64-bit SC:R and it failed... I ticked the option to use 32 bit SC:R => it worked and map was hosted. So I guess the issue still exists for 64 bit SC:R ? I also tried calling a friend and he couldn't see the map when he entered the lobby. Weird, I might have to report this to Blizzard?
