A Korean EUD expert "38 P" has been posting videos demonstrating some cool EUD tricks. One of these involves firebats shooting a very long line of fire at enemies, effectively making them a superior ranged unit.
This can be seen starting after 1:00 in this video.
https://youtu.be/VMqB_K4CITI?t=1mThis obviously involves assigning Subterranean Spines as the weapon and modifying spite/image properties. In an attempt to replicate this, I've only managed to make the weapon create 3 columns of fire. Without the graphics changed, the spines go to max range on the firebat. I further experimented with various weapon "hit" graphics, all of which seem to crash after the first wave of shots.
Let me show you how to hump without making love.

The hit (Sprite 510) is not what you want to modify. It is a completely separate part of the attack that just determines dealing damage. You want Subterranean Spines (511) and modifying that will change the graphic, which is just an overlay.
None.
