I've ran into an issue while making a map. The tool itself is giving me no problems, but this is really weird:

I was doing a bunch of trigger work, reworking one of my systems so it was more modular (sending it through a dc stage system so that different guns can utilize different bullet modifiers, instead of doing all of that stuff per gun). I hadn't touched EUDEditor at all during this, but all of a sudden I'm getting "Error loading scenario file" when trying to load the compiled map. The uncompiled map loads fine.

So what did I change that could possibly be interacting with the EUD injection?

EDIT: If I delete all of the triggers, it still won't open.

EDIT2: So I loaded up a fresh map to compile the same profile into, and I'm getting this
Collapse Box

The problem seems to be somewhere with the MurakamiShiinaQC plugin. If I uncheck that, it builds fine and the blank map opens ok. I should be able to redo my EUD Editor work really easily, but it's definitely odd that it started erroring out all of a sudden without changing anything.

EDIT3: I'm all sorts of confused. I rebuilt the EUDEditor config, it compiles, but I'm unable to open the map even without the plugin. I'm gonna keep troubleshooting but I'll link the files if anyone's curious:

EDIT4: After starting with a completely fresh map, a fresh install of eud editor, and a blank profile, it errors on compiling with the plugin checked. I guess it has something to do with my computer/python? I don't have a python 3.4 install, is that the issue?

EDIT5: I rebuilt the map and got it working. That error I posted above appears if you check the plugin without inputting any data, so that was just a bad method of testing on my part. I had updated from a slightly older version of SCMDraft at some point after I had done a little bit of work on the map, so something may have happened there causing some sort of corruption down the line.

Good news, the latest update works with remastered ramps! :D
Mine is crashing when trying to use the new tiles. How did you get it to work?

Also @SkyTechRTS, that's the error you get when using the new ramp tiles

I think the key was disabling TileSet in the EUD Editor.

Yes! That makes a lot of sense since I noticed the program would crash when accessing that. Didn't think to disable it, thanks!

Hi,

I'm a little confused, who is developing this repo? https://github.com/phu54321/euddraft Is that you lifebot?

Would you be able to add examples/documentation explaining how a programmer might use euddraft? I am very familiar with Python, but it's very hard to read the source code and know how to use it for creating triggers outside of the editor GUI.

Thanks!

I'm responsible for the repo, but I think I'm too busy right now to reply questions :( life's hard.

Found some bizarre behavior when experimenting with CUnitData triggers, putting a recent project to a halt.

Goal: quickly iterate through all units to get indexes for a single unique unit owned by 4 (maybe more) players. With said indexes, program a fast regen on them and also track every time they attack.

Result: upon compiling after any of those triggers were made, received consistent compilation error...

[Error 13494] Module "TriggerEditor" Line 7 : Chunk-level error
[Error 13494] Module "TriggerEditor" Line 8 : Chunk-level error

Removal of all triggers in the editor has no effect. File is corrupted.

EUD Edtior and EUD draft are not outdated.

That kind of error happens when

(2) Does not input any data to MurakamiShiinaQC plugin.

Has the latest 1.23 patch broken EUD Editor 2 for anyone else, and does anyone yet know a fix for it? From what I can tell, they've gotten rid of MPQ's, and EUD Editor 2 tries to look for them on startup and refuses to boot if they can't be. There doesn't appear to yet be any update either.

My projects have basically ground to a halt without it.

Edit ~

Okay, I fixed it for now by just downloading this copy of 1.16.1 hosted on the ICCup website and just stripped the MPQ files out of them, and manually pointed EUD Editor 2 at them. There's no Broodwar.mpq, so I just renamed the "Starcraft.mpq" to "Broodwar.mpq" and it seems to load fine so far. I'll let you guys know if I find any issues.

broodwar.mpq is different than starcraft.mpq so you should probably download the complete install to avoid issues. http://www.staredit.net/topic/17625/

Is it really important for EUD Editor/map-making purposes, though? I like the compressed MPQ's that come along with the ICCUP installation because they have all the campaign data stripped out, which uses up like 1+ GB for no good reason.

No idea if it matters, but in my experience it's best to play it safe when working with external programs that can corrupt your maps in worst case scenarios.

Jul 24 2019, 3:32 am Ultraviolet Post #56

I'm with Pr0nogo on this one, I wouldn't risk it. BroodWar.mpq is only 545MB which is a small price to pay for security. You never know what weird way some third party tool might screw with your map, especially when you start plugging different mpqs into it. But if it works for you, more power to ya ;)

m y eud editor isn't working when I open it it sayd to put in mpq files when I try to find them there isn't any and the program wont work does, what is going on
