Yeah, one of the first mods where nobody crashed or desynced. Props to the creators. Looks like an awful lot of work went into it.

For this Mod Night, we played ARAI and SoR 4.1.

We started off with a 4p game of Farty, Inferno and myself, plus one AI.

Inferno tries to liberate his old base.

Then rudely BSes me after the battle is won.

Farty and I play a game vs. the AI while Inferno rages over Blizzard maps. It ends quickly.

Talking shit and getting hit in a 4p FFA.

Next we decided to try out some Team Melee.

I don't think there was any way putting Farty and I on the same team was going to work out.

But what if we had all four of us vs the AI?

I make a contentious decision to build a 2nd supply depot. (I may not have seen the first one)

Sadly we are no match for the AI.

We decide to play a game of the new 4.1 update for SoR. Will the AI be as insane as ARAI's?

We're off to a good start when I forget that Inferno is AFK before starting the game.

It really hates Inferno.

It's not good enough to take on all three of us though.

Pr0nogo and I are prepared for the sudden but inevitable betrayal this time though.


It was fun to play ARAI again, and it looks like the recent SoR update has fixed a couple issues that resulted in desyncs the first time we played. I'm sure we'll revisit both later on.

For this Mod Night we played some PEAI, as well as MoH.

Not knowing anything about PEAI, we decided to go with a 5v3 versus 3 AI.

The AI makes some early decisive strikes while we are trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Dem0n is slain.

Relief comes from an unlikely source - the map hits the sprite limit, so ranged units are unable to fire. Taking advantage of this, we start massing melee units to crush the helpless AIs.

We do manage to crush the remaining AIs though.

Afterwards, we play a nice game of MoH.

Ex takes advantage of my distraction to destroy my main and hunt me across the map.

However, he's underestimated how powerful Corbo has grown.

I decide to start attacking Corbo, distracting him enough for Ex to rebuild.

Thanks to everyone who came out to play! PEAI was very interesting, albeit extremely confusing. A combination of unfamiliar tech trees, new mechanics and very different graphics give it quite the learning curve. It is, however, quite technically impressive.

C.I.S. Conversion Mod creator

This tradition needs to be resurrected ASAP before the end of the decade. Here is my proposal:

Schedule will still be Fridays, 5PM, Pacific Standard Time
Streamers: Pr0nogo, Corbo

The mods rotation will be:
1. Burning Ground 2.0 by Black_Overseer
2. Leviathan Wakes by Voyager
3. C.I.S. Conversion Mod Version 1.4 by razorback9423
4. Dawn of Change by Black_Overseer
5. Field Command 2 by Voyager
6. Gundam Century
7. Eternal Duel: Earth vs. Mars by Lord Jafud
8. Dark Antiquity (Halloween Special)

And the map pool theme will have some insanity added.

I hope this proposal can resurrect the tradition.

Zoan -- what was weird was if you give the buildings to another player the computer player keeps on building it even though it doesn'y belong to them

Zoan -- i just tested. you actually just cant move unfinished buildings I guess. Tried moving all players and players 9 -12, tried giving players then moving. nothing works if its unfinished, but as soon as it's finished it works.

Zoan -- At least you can set the hp and build time of terran buildings so that repair never actually conteracts their hp loss while on fire..

Zoan -- also I think you can set the hp and build time of a building so that it literally will never complete it's build, iirc.

Zoan -- maybe if they're allied to all other players, so they don't try to do something like attack with their scv I guess.
