Does anyone know the details about Zerg Eggs and how to create them, what sort of rules they have around them, etc. Thanks.

Preplace them or make them by creating units from larvae, or mutate a Hydralisk into a Lurker.
Cocoons, Nuclear Missiles, Zerg Eggs, and Zerg Lurker Eggs will not register as "[men]" or "[any unit]" in the Bring condition. The Nuclear Missile will register as a Nuclear Missile in conditions, the Zerg Egg will register as a Zerg Egg, and Cocoons will register as Cocoons, but the Lurker Egg will not register as a Lurker Egg.
Pre-placed Zerg Eggs, Zerg Lurker Eggs, and Cocoons will never finish morphing and cannot be canceled.

So I see that I have to run Insane Campaign to make the comp spawn them, but how do I get so many eggs like the map seems to be able to do?

It's been a while since I tinkered with it, but from what I recall:
1) Stack a bunch of Hatcheries/Lairs/Hives on top of each other for maximum larvae production.
2) Set up an AI script that will make the computer want to start playing melee.
3) Place mineral fields nearby so the computer will want to build workers for mining resources.
4) Have a trigger always providing the computer with enough resources to build workers.
5) Have a trigger that immediately gives the computer's eggs to a different player.
Basically, the computer will keep creating Drones because you keep giving its Drone eggs to a different player, so it realizes it has 0 Drones in production and immediately tries to create more.
