What I am wanting to do is give the text that shows up ingame from the DISPLAY TEXT MESSAGE trigger action some color, such as change it from its default white to say red or blue. What I'm actually wanting to do is pop up the message "PLAYER X WAS DEFEATED." for all remaining active players (x is the player number) and have the text color reflect the defeated player's color.
I'm using basic staredit to create the map, and have no interest in downloading a third party editor. What is the exact text format that can be put into the trigger text box. Blue is 0E but I'm clueless as to how to actually apply it.
None.
What I was asking was if anyone knew what the literal byte data was that is input to manipulate the text color, but its clear nobody here has any real technical knowledge other than download programs that they think is better.
None.
I have no interest in downloading a third-party editor.
Then go download a third-party editor!
That's really helpful guys
[Edit: The posts I was referencing here were rightfully deleted.]The attached file has all the color symbols, just copy and paste.

Here's a more comprehensive list, you can get these into most text boxes with alt+0XX, where XX is the code of your color - you can also copy from a map like Azrael provided.
To meet my moral obligation to reduce suffering in the world: 3rd party map editors are very useful in reducing tedium and expanding options in map-making (such as with square terrain and stacking units), and come with no real risk. Consider trying them if you stay in map-making for a while, but if you're just doing one small project staredit will of course, suffice.
