My grandmother has had diabetes and several other life threatening conditions her whole life. [But she is the most optimistic and loving grandmother] And recently she was admitted to hospital with malignant cancerous tumors. The doctors did all they could to treat the cancer, but the battle was lost before it began. She was taken off treatment, because she was a lost cause. So in a hospital bed, my grandmother was slowly dying of cancer. [She was still on life support, but attempts to kill the cancer had all failed, so the doctors gave up].
A few days ago. We got a call from the hospital.
My grandmother...

Was alive and healthy. The cancer had just stopped. While she is still sick and in hospital. She is recovering, and the cancer is completely gone [this is months after treatment had stopped]. There was no special treatment. She simply recovered.

Amazing, how something with such a reputation for causing death and being an unstoppable disease, spared a little old lady.

In the words of The Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons.
"There is no Emoticon for how I feel right now!"

Wait. The cancer cells just stopped growing one day? Your grandmother is one lucky person. ^^ *Thinks more about the power of thought and emotion*

I don't find you credible enough to believe this.
And after seeing a 'stupid' pattern in your posts, I don't think it's a far stretch that you aren't telling us the who story.

I could see him not giving the whole story, but though this is good news for you, it would be better news if they found a cure from your grandmothers anti-bodies or something, so much for that...

Relatively ancient and inactive

Well, just in case there is no ulterior motive, congratulations! Your grandmother was very lucky. ^^

I don't give a damn whether you believe or not. And what stupid pattern?

I thought about that, and I reckon it's likely they'll do some tests on that sort of stuff [She's a long trip away from us, so we just got the message that she was fine via phone.]

The FBI took your real grandmother and replaced her with a robotic clone, as done with all cancer survivors.

Because he has nothing better to do and thinks we'll be impressed on an Internet forum where the average age of members is something like 15.

I'm deeply hurt that a lot of you disbelieve me.
:-(

Next time, I won't share.

Oh and for the record, I'm 15. Just because I'm 15 doesn't make me an attention-whoring baby.

EDIT: Seriously, my grandmother surviving cancer is hardly what I'd call "impressive"

Has anyone seen the thread with the supposed amazing robotic AI technology?
THAT is attention-seeking.

How can you honestly lie about anything? =o,

And when they found a cure for cancer on I Am Legend everybody started turning into zombie-type things, so the thought of a cure for cancer scares me. xD

Yes, I always heed the warnings of unresearched box office juggernauts as well.
