Hey.
Not sure what I've done to create the issue. When I open my location layer in SCMDraft2 and locations come into view, the program crashes.
How do I fix this?
None.
I've never heard of a concise fix for location-crashes in SCMDraft (it happens because it's getting old), here's things you can try:
1.) Try a backed-up version of your map (SCMDraft stores backups, go to Advanced->Open Backup Database, on the menu)
2.) Go into your SCMDraft folder and maps folder, delete backupDB.scmdDB, and all .tmp files; reopen SCMDraft
3.) Uninstall, download from
here (in particular, not from anywhere else), and reinstall
4.) Save a backup (make a copy) of your map, then run
String Repair Utility, may fix issues with bad strings on locations
5.) Open your map with this:
Location Ripper, post the output file here, perhaps we will be able to figure out which feature of SCMDraft is broken
6.) Use
CHKDraft - for editing your locations, using two editors is not ideal (as Chkdraft is still incomplete) but at least you'd be able to work with locations the same as in SCMDraft
